Your body is incredibly adaptable - but it needs a stimulus for that change. Every time you choose movement over staying still, every time you show up to class even when motivation is low, every time you push through that voice saying "maybe tomorrow" - you're giving your body the signal that it's time to get stronger.

That stiffness you feel getting out of bed? You don't have to accept that as your new normal. Those stairs that leave you breathless? Your body can adapt. The fear that you're "too old" or "too out of shape" to start? Your body is waiting to prove you wrong.

But here's the thing - it won't happen by accident. It won't happen while you're waiting for the "perfect time" or until you "feel more motivated."

Change happens when you decide that staying the same is no longer an option. When you choose to invest 45 minutes in yourself. When you walk into that mat Pilates class for the first time, or the second time after a long break.

The Beginner Reformer Series are back! 🥳

This week we start our first Beginner Series in a while and we’re kicking it off with reformer. On Wednesday night at 6:30pm is the first of a 5 week series of beginner sessions.

To kick it off with a bang the Beginner Series will include the 5 sessions, PLUS a pair of our beloved Move Active grip socks AND 50% off two of our reformer classes.

Reformer Pilates is a great option for those who would like a little more support throughout movements. A great way to get started and progress with a resistance based workout which is adjustable and supportive.

Did you know? Joseph Pilates began using a hospital bed along with bands and resistance equipment in order to help soldiers rehabilitate and recover from injuries during World War 1.

SMALL GROUP STRENGTH WITH CASS

Our small group strength classes are a wonderful complement to your yoga and pilates sessions. Cass, our resident PT will guide you through a session focussing on whole body strength.

All fitness levels can be catered for and all are welcome. Perfect for anyone who wants to work on their strength but needs some accountability, guidance or inspiration along the way.

We currently offer these classes at The Hub on a Tuesday at 12:30pm and Thursday at 7:30am.

Who runs the world? We do.

It's International Women's Day today, and I could say a bunch. There are still a lot of issues globally around gender inequalities and so many things. The thing that I see the most day to day though, is women working so hard for their families and not feeling seen or heard in all of the things they do.

But do you know what? I see you. I see the late nights and broken sleep. I see the 27,348 snacks that you make that only get half eaten. I see the deep breaths when you try to regulate yourself in the midst of a toddler having some big feelings about something which is trivial in the grand scheme of things. I see the things you put off for yourself while you juggle everyone else's needs. I see the time spent driving everyone to sport, and folding everyone's washing and organising appointments and all of the things.

I see all of that and more, AND THEN I see so many of you also somehow managing to go to work and hold down a paying job so that you can financially contribute the the household as well.

Take a breath, have a coffee, move your body. You've got this 💜✨
