Tuesday 22nd April: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Wednesday 23rd April: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Thursday 24th April: 8:30am – 9:00pm
Friday 25th April: Closed
Saturday 26th April: Closed

Resuming normal services from

If you require medical services over this shutdown period: “Call The Doctor ” is a bulk billed after hours locum doctor home visit service that provides care for the greater Adelaide area. If you are need a doctor after hours in Adelaide please call 1300 64 04 71
(1300 CALLTHEDR) and they will send a doctor out to you promptly. They BULK BILL patients if they have a Medicare or Veterans affairs card.

What is a pessary?

Here at Stirling GP, Dr Cathryn Mills, one of our women’s health GP's, is trained in the use of pessaries.

A Pessary is a medical device used for the treatment and management of pelvic organ prolapse (which can be experienced as a bulge in the vulval region or issues with incontinence (or a weak bladder). It is usually made of a soft plastic or silicone.
A pessary will support the vaginal tissue and can be helpful to alleviate symptoms without surgery.

Stirling GP now welcomes Dr Jade Tregoweth to the team!
Jade completed her medical degree and internship in regional Victoria in 2018. She then worked within hospital obstetric and paediatric medicine before completing GP training in regional SA. In 2024 Jade achieved her advanced procedural qualifications as a GP Obstetrician and currently provides antenatal, labour and postnatal care at the Mount Barker Hospital.

Jade is a passionate provider of:
-antenatal (pregnancy) shared care
-postnatal and baby care
-family planning and contraception including Mirena / IUD and Implanon insertion
-medical termination (abortion) of pregnancy
-sexual health including LGBTIQA+ affirming care
-menopause management

Outside of work Jade is busy running around after her two small children, trying to find time to exercise, daydreaming about holidays, forgetting to organise date nights with her husband and socialising with friends.

This week we welcome Dr James Ashby, General Practitioner to our dedicated team of health professionals.
Growing up in the Adelaide Hills, Dr Ashby completed his medical degree in Adelaide and was a junior doctor at Flinders Medical Centre.
Before joining our practice he spent seven years as a rural GP in Port Lincoln, as well as providing locum cover to rural and remote clinics and hospitals throughout the state.
Clinical areas of interest for James include family medicine, preventative medicine, skin checks and excisions.

Dr Ashby's consulting days are Thursdays and Fridays.

Here at Stirling GP, our Dr Jane Ramsey has a special interest in all aspects of menopause.

Jane is a member of the Australasian Menopause Society. Helping women feel supported and guided in this phase of their life.

Jane has been a guest speaker at numerous events, but this week I wanted to share with you all, she has been having a chat on the community radio station Radio Adelaide 101.5 FM.

Jane is with us 3 days a week and is accepting new patients.

We now welcome Dr Cathryn Mills to our dedicated healthcare team here at Stirling GP!

Dr Cathryn is an experienced specialist GP with a wealth of experience in womens and childrens health. She enjoys providing personalised compassionate care to patients through some of life's biggest challenges. With additional procedural training from RANZCOG and currently pursuing advanced procedural training, Dr. Cathryn is accredited to insert and remove implanons and Mirena devices and provide shared care. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian college of general practitioner and has a diploma in child health.
Known for a kind, compassionate, and friendly approach, Dr. Cathryn divides her time between Stirling GP and the Lyell McEwin Hospital in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department.
In her free time she enjoys gardening and spending time with her two children and husband.
