Part 2: Spring Energy Tips!
Spring is here, and as an AHPRA-registered acupuncturist, I love this season of growth and renewal. Eating seasonal foods is a wonderful way to support your body and keep your Wood energy flowing. Fresh, green, and sour foods help nourish your Liver and move Qi, keeping your body feeling vibrant!
Think: leafy greens, sprouts, asparagus, green apples, lemon dressings, fresh herbs, and a little fermented goodness like kimchi or yogurt. Quick stir-fries or fresh salads are perfect for spring.
Pair this with some time outdoors — a walk, gentle stretch, or beach yoga — and you’re really in tune with the season.
Tag a friend who’d love these seasonal tips!

Spring is here!
As an AHPRA-registered acupuncturist, I love this season — the air feels lighter, the days longer, and nature is waking up all around us. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, spring is linked with the Wood element, which is all about growth, flexibility, and renewal.

It’s the perfect time to get outside, stretch, move, and soak up the fresh air — helping to shift any stuck or stagnant Qi and reconnect with your natural rhythm. Even a short walk among blooming trees or a gentle yoga session outdoors can make a difference.

Scroll down to learn more about the Wood element and how spring energy can support your balance and wellbeing.

✨ R U OK? Day reminder ✨
Today is about checking in with those around us, and also taking a moment to notice how we ourselves are really going. Mental health challenges can affect anyone, and support can come in many forms. Alongside guidance from qualified health professionals and services, some people also explore complementary approaches, such as acupuncture, as part of their overall wellbeing plan.

Spring has sprung — and so has allergy season! Many people experience hay fever at this time of year. Research has explored acupuncture as one way that may support people with allergic rhinitis by influencing immune responses and reducing inflammation. Check out the video below from the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA) for more information.

If you’re interested in exploring acupuncture, we are an AACMA-registered practitioner.

If you’ve been experiencing discomfort, stiffness, or swelling in a joint, you may be dealing with a condition known as bursitis. This occurs when one of the small fluid-filled cushions (bursae) that help protect your joints becomes irritated or inflamed. While it can affect different parts of the body, bursitis often develops in areas such as the hip, knee, shoulder, heel, elbow, or buttock.
To explore whether acupuncture may be a suitable option for your situation, contact the clinic to arrange a conversation about your needs and preferences.

Eating with the Seasons: Winter Wisdom from Chinese Medicine ❄️

Eating with the seasons is a core principle of Chinese medicine. In winter, we recommend slow-cooked meals, hearty broths, and warming spices like cinnamon, ginger, and garlic. These foods help nourish your Yang and support your body against the cold.

* These are general suggestions based on Traditional Chinese Medicine principles. If you have specific health concerns or medical conditions, please speak with your healthcare practitioner before making dietary changes.
