Stirling Hospital is proud to join Funded, a free digital platform by the SA Philanthropy Network that connects generous South Australians with community projects.
For almost 100 years, we’ve provided compassionate, high-quality care to the Adelaide Hills. To keep delivering this care, we need to upgrade essential infrastructure – starting with the replacement of our procedure area ventilation system.
Stirling Hospital is committed to ensuring that the Hospital remains safe, modern, and accessible for generations to come and we are asking for the support of our community. Together, we can make it happen.
If you value local, independent healthcare, we invite you to support our project on Funded – please visit our project on the Funded website

Recently Stirling Hospital and Summit Health hosted an Educational Evening for GPs focused on Paediatrics.

Dr John Wood, ENT Surgeon, spoke about common problems he sees particularly in Winter. His talk was entitled “Snot your average ENT talk -kids, colds and chaos!” The GPs were very interested particularly in the type of tonsillectomy he performs, which reduces the tonsil over 90% rather than removing the whole tonsil. This leads to significantly less pain, a quicker recovery and reduced risks for the same result! John both consults and operates at Stirling Hospital on a regular basis.

John was followed by Dr Garth Hargreaves who is a Paediatrician based at Mount Barker Hospital. He talked about initiatives that the local area Health network have planned, including the planned new hospital. He also spoke about the reform of ADHD care in South Australia and how this might work best for our patients.

The evening was very well attended as the photos show, and we would like to thank Intermed our sponsor for the evening
