I love rainy day healing sessions…

The soothing sound of rain is a wonderful backdrop to healing.

Today was spent doing some root cause therapy, healing the trigger-response and bringing long sought after peace.

Sage Holistic Healing was born from a desire to offer scaffolding.

The kind of support that is temporary while the build takes place from the foundations up.

✨ As women move into the unavoidable time of perimenopause, there is a space of rediscovery that opens.

✨ During perimenopause it’s not just the body that changes, the mind also is going through dramatic changes - just like during puberty.

✨ Through all this the soul is continually learning and fulfilling its own purpose, and each of these new discoveries offers a new learning and an opportunity for growth.

✨ Sage Holistic Healing provides the safe space where women are able to rebuild…starting with the foundation, and gradually, layer by layer, accept and love the beautiful woman that stands before the mirror.

✨I am honoured to have guided women through this process until they have been ready for the scaffolding to be removed - and to witness these transformations is what continually keeps me going.

✨ It is a privilege to have lived and learnt through my own challenges so that I can use them to support you through yours and out the other side.

Nutritional Medicine
Gut Health
Hypnotherapy
NLP
Time Line Therapy
Energy Healing
Intuitive Talk Therapy
Breathwork (available from March)

With this beautiful toolbox of knowledge, it’s my pleasure to continue growing and learning so women can feel supported, seen and heard as they move into and through the perimenopausal space with total love and trust within themselves.

👋🏼 To all my peri-pals out there, here’s a good lesson I learnt this week:

✨ As you know, I bang on a lot about resting and listening to your body. So I had a bit of a “do as I say, not as I do” moment during the week.

✨ Seeing my knee surgery recovery has been going so well, I have been back in the gym and very excited with the ranges I’ve been able to do, that I couldn’t do for a few years prior surgery.

🫣 Unfortunately, I didn’t take into account my peri-menopausal body that had a bit of a freak out by Thursday, because getting up at 4:30am every weekday, gymming it, working, doing mum stuff and then side-hustle business stuff was all too much too soon for this little duck 🦆

🫩 After my gym session Thursday, I woke up feeling exhausted (I usually wake feeling well rested) - even after taking the day off the gym Wed to rest - I could not get my energy back and was drained and tired all day.

👍🏼 Yesterday and today have been better, but it’s been a really good lesson that we MUST listen to our bodies.

This is not negotiable.

✨ There are some women who can manage this no problems, and in the past, I have been able to manage this myself - but my body is still recovering and getting back to normal, so I need to make allowances for that.

The same goes for all of you. It is so important, now more than ever that you listen to your body and give yourself the rest you deserve. And not compare yourself to anyone else, even if you’re working out together.

And if you’re starting out on a new fitness/nutrition plan, take.it.slow. Slow and steady wins the race. 🐢vs 🐇

✨ I’ve put myself back a bit because I now have an inflamed knee and am limping again (silly, silly me), and need to rest it for another week.

😌 So, allow me to be a cautionary tale of why it’s important to listen to your body.

👉🏼 And no, exhaustion is not normal…just because it’s common doesn’t make it normal.

💕 You deserve better than that.

If you’re feeling constantly exhausted and are not sure where to start, reach out for an Intro phone call, and see if you can make some positive changes.

Do something different this year 🐴✨💕

As part of a new program that almost created, I’ve been invited to do a presentation on “gut health” from a nutritional medicine perspective - joining a weekend workshop with Ben Clarke and Empowered Academy.
Nervous and excited to share more info on this important topic 🌟
Look forward to sharing more with you soon ✨

Today was my first proper session back in the gym…not off to a great start - was pulling instead of pushing despite walking through this door plenty of times! 🫣😂

I have to admit, I’m not comfortable at the moment…6 weeks of no weight training and too many carbs has me feeling squishy and weak, and that’s ok. My body has been working its magic healing beautifully, and has done an amazing job! ✨

Now it’s time to push through the discomfort and focus on what I am moving towards (a strong, healthy body) rather than what I am moving away from (unhealthy and immobile):

🎯 Nutrition back on track (eating predominately whole foods with a more Mediterranean-style to continue reducing inflammation)
🎯 Continued rehab
🎯 Gradually increase strength training
🎯 Gradual increase to cardio
🎯 Continued Breathwork practice
🎯 Come out of my hermit shell 🐚

Focusing on what we want brings our energy into alignment with where we are headed, rather than looking backwards to where we came from (this just sends our energy back to that old version of ourselves) ⏭️

The only time we need to look back is to monitor our progress - not to pass judgement on ourselves. And let’s remove “should” from any sentence that begins with “I”!

It’s never too late for a restart and who cares how many restarts you have - maybe it’s just time to try a different way 💕

In the coming weeks, I’ll be launching a couple of offers to support people on their own healing path…stay tuned for more info!

Now time for a bit of rest 😌
