Here’s one for the trivia lovers — did you know International Men’s Day was started by Dr Jerome Teelucksingh back in 1999?

He picked 19 November to celebrate his dad’s birthday 🎂 and the Trinidad & Tobago football team ⚽ who brought the country together during their 1989 World Cup campaign! 🇹🇹

What started as one man’s idea to celebrate positive male role models and men’s wellbeing is now recognised in over 80 countries around the world! 🌏

Now that’s something worth cheering for! 👏

Today we recognise and celebrate the men in our lives — our clients, families, friends, and community members — and the important role they play in creating a supportive, inclusive world.

International Men’s Day is also a reminder of the importance of men’s health and wellbeing, encouraging everyone to check in, connect, and continue open conversations around mental health and support.

We’re proud to be running our 2025 Gift Donation Drive once again in support of A Good Kitchen Swan Hill — an incredible local organisation confronting hunger and poverty in our community.

This year’s Christmas Dinner will be held on 16th December, and we’re inviting our community to help bring joy, comfort, and a warm meal to those who need it most.

The Melbourne Cup may have been run on Tuesday, 4th November, but here’s a fun fact to keep the spirit going — the very first Melbourne Cup was held way back in 1861! That’s over 160 years of racing history 🏆

Known as “the race that stops a nation,” the Melbourne Cup continues to bring Aussies together every year for a bit of friendly fun and celebration 🇦🇺
