Meet Jake - Our Senior Care Manager! Jake has worked in the industry for over 5 years and has been with our organisation since early 2021.

Why are you working in this industry?
I started assisting people to acheive their golals as a personal trainer, and have continued to do so for the past 5 years within the NDIS. Helping people has become something that I've grown to love doing, and hope to do for a long time.

What was your first ever job?
I completed an apprenticeship as a Baker!

Currently binging 'Glitch' with the family.

Meet Carissa! One of our Care Managers here at Flourish. Carissa is finishing up her Bachelor of Psychology, and has been working in the industry for 6 months. We asked Carissa a few questions to get to know her better.

Why are you working in this industry?
I have a lived experience with a range of disabilities, and a passion for helping others!

What was your first ever job?
For my first job I was a Party Hostess at a Bowling Alley and Game Zone! I can successfully beat a party of pre-teen boys at laser tag!🔫 🎳

What is your favourite movie/TV show?
My favourite TV show is Greys Anatomy – I have rewatched it nearly a dozen times! 👩‍⚕️

What is your favourite quote?
“It is what you make it” as opposed to “it is what it is”
