Farewell from Quiet Place.
As the sun slowly set on our lovely little place this afternoon, it was time for moments of sweet, sad, and hopeful reflections. We quietly acknowledged our 7th birthday and chose this as the time to close our doors.
Thank you to everyone who inspired, supported, and acknowledged Quiet Place before it started, while it continued, and now in its closing. There are too many people to mention here, but I hope you know who you are and know how grateful Quiet Place and Troy are to you.
Troy is continuing towards a new career in community law. Zoe will be continuing to offer counselling at another premises. And Donna has chosen this as a poignant moment to retire from her dream career.
Troy will continue to do a small amount of psychology work for some existing clients and can still be contacted at troy@quietplace.com.au. Zoe can be contacted at Zoe.zhm@gmail.com.
We are proud to have contributed to the lives of some and only wish, as always, we could have done more. Thank you for being part of our Quiet community ❤️

Our beautiful sanctuary in Strathpine, Quiet Place, has rooms for hire for therapists or counsellors. Two rooms are currently furnished, while one is open for you to bring your own. All rooms are air-conditioned. Building facilities include lovely waiting room, admin area, kitchen, bathroom, and toilet (oh, and an awesome Cafe next door!) If you are interested in hiring a room for one or more days per week please contact Zoe Hedges on 0405 317 768 or at Zoe.zhm@gmail.com

It's been another rewarding, busy, interesting and fulfilling year at Quiet Place. Pic is from our last event for the year, Quiet Place Christmas Parkrun at Sandgate with a quick breakfast afterwards(see if you can spot the person hiding from the camera!) Thank you to all our visitors, colleagues and supporters. - we are nothing without you. We've been involved in psychology sessions, counselling sessions, bush walks, Parkrun, remote outreach and more. Glad we have been able to offer support to those of you we could, apologies to those of you who we couldn't assist A few changes coming up in the New Year which we will let you know about. Our excellent counsellors Zoe and Donna have done wonderful work this year and they are ready and keen to accept new referrals in the New Year. Merry Christmas to those who celebrate, Happy Holidays to those who don't, wishing you and your loved ones happy, peaceful and safe times 💛 (No Insta, we are not adding Mariah music to this post despite your insistent suggestions 😉)

Happy 6th birthday Quiet Place! We're still here, quietly doing our thing. We wish we could do more as always, but grateful to play a part in the lives of the folks we can. Our psychologist is not able to accept referrals for new folks indefinitely, but our two counsellors have space available. Big thanks to our visitors, our friends, our supporters and our communities 🩵
