🌍 World Organ Donation Day – A Personal Message
Today holds deep meaning for our family. Our son has been recently diagnosed with Autosomal Recessive Polycystic Kidney Disease (ARPKD) and Congenital Hepatic Fibrosis (CHF)—a rare genetic condition that means, one day, he will likely need both a kidney and a liver transplant.
His future rests in the hands of organ donors—people who say *yes* to giving the ultimate gift: a second chance at life.
🫁 How You Can Help in Australia:
✅ Register with the Australian Organ Donor Register (AODR)
It takes just one minute via [donatelife.gov.au](https://www.donatelife.gov.au/register-donor-today) or through your myGov account.
You must be 18+ to register. Those 16–17 can record their intent to donate.
💬 Have the conversation
Your registration matters, but so does talking to your loved ones. In Australia, your family’s support is essential for donation to proceed.
💓 Consider living donation
Living donors can give a kidney or a portion of their liver. These acts of kindness change lives—especially for children like our son.
Organ donation is not just a medical procedure—it’s a human act of love and legacy. Please consider registering and sharing this message. Your decision could save a life.
