🌟 We’re Shaking Things Up at Yellowbird Enterprises! 🌟

A new Short-Term Respite (STR) experience is coming soon to Green Acres Farm on the Karuah River in Stroud — and it’s designed to bring comfort, nature, and community together in a fresh, supported way.

🛖 What’s Coming
We’re preparing two elevated camping sites — safe from seasonal flooding and surrounded by bushland and access to the river. Each site will feature:
• two separate accommodations. The first will have a retro Millard caravan and a campervan. Then in 2026 a rustic cabin will be built
• Separate sleeping areas for participant and support worker
• Basic bush compost toilet and shower setup
• Gas BBQ and fire pit for all your bush cooking needs
• Seasonal food grown on the farm, plus grass-fed beef and fresh eggs donated by Yellowbird
• Bush cooking staples provided by our food bank partners — no separate food charges when you choose Yellowbird-supported STR
• All equipment supplied — camp chairs, life vests for river swimming, and more
• Mobile coverage and emergency contact number available
• Manual vehicle access only — BYO support must be able to drive the farm’s trusty Terios 🚙 This is what gets you to your site. We are happy to chaffuer you both if needed

• Option 1: 1:1 support delivered by Yellowbird staff
• Option 2: Bring your own support and food supplies

📅 Available for weekend (2-night) and midweek stays

Little Tern Beach House offers a peaceful, beachside escape with:

✅ Pickup & drop-off available across Newcastle, Hunter, Maitland, Dungog, MidCoast & Mid North Coast (kms billed to Core)
✅ Weekend stays (Friday–Sunday, 2pm–2pm) and weekday options available
✅ Minimum 2 nights, max 14 nights per stay (up to 28 nights per plan year unless otherwise approved)

🚐 Our wheelchair-accessible bus is based in Stroud, but it travels wherever it’s needed – including:
• Maitland
• Port Stephens
• Mid Coast
• Dungog
• And surrounding regions

🧡 Our main driver is more than just a driver – they’re a Support Worker, Allied Health Assistant, and Occupational Therapy student. That means your journey is supported by someone who truly understands mobility, care, and comfort.

🪑 Seating configuration:
• 5 very comfortable seats in the rear
• 1 wheelchair space (or 2 extra seats if wheelchair space isn’t needed)
• 1 front passenger seat
We offer:
• 1:1 support during travel
• Group transport with cost apportioning
• Toyota Prado option for non-wheelchair users
