Feeling that sudden, urgent 'gotta go NOW' urge disrupting your day? Dry needling (a targeted form of acupuncture) could help calm bladder urgency and overactivity — naturally. 🌿
How it works: We stimulate 4 key points on each leg along the posterior tibial nerve pathway. This gentle stimulation encourages the part of your nervous system that 'turns down the volume' on those overactive bladder contractions, helping restore calm and control.
You're probably already familiar with these spots — we often recommend pressing the points on the inner ankle or knee as a quick self-management trick for urgency!
What to expect:

Sessions last just 15-20 minutes
Best results come from weekly treatments for 4-6 weeks
Tiny 'button' needles can stay in place for several days between visits (if they fall off early, no worries — it's all part of building the effect)

This safe, evidence-informed approach is a great option for many dealing with bladder urgency. Ready to explore if it's right for you? Message us or book your pelvic health assessment today. 💙

🌸 3rd Trimester Relief: 4 Gentle Stretches to Ease Hip Tension & Prep Your Pelvis 🌸
As your body works hard in the final weeks, tight hips, lower back discomfort, and pelvic pressure are common. These simple, safe stretches (demonstrated in our latest video) help open the hips, lengthen the pelvic floor, improve mobility, and support better comfort + birth preparation.
1️⃣ Hip Flexor Stretch – Releases the front of the hips to ease lower back strain and improve posture.
2️⃣ Hip Flexor + Leg Turned Out – Adds a gentle outer hip opener for extra pelvic space and rotation.
3️⃣ Butterfly / Deep Squat – Opens the inner thighs + pelvis, relaxes the pelvic floor, and helps baby descend comfortably (use support if needed!).
4️⃣ Child’s Pose – A soothing rest position to stretch the hips, back, and shoulders while encouraging deep breathing and relaxation.
Always listen to your body—stop if anything feels painful, and modify as needed (e.g., props under hips or knees). These are wonderful for pelvic health in late pregnancy, but check with your healthcare provider or pelvic physio first.
Watch the full video on our page for guided demos and tips! 💗 Who’s trying these this week? Drop a 🙌 below or DM us if you’d like personalised advice.

💛 New conversations about endometriosis care 💛

A recent ABC News investigation highlighted the heartbreaking story of a young woman who underwent multiple surgeries for suspected endometriosis — only to discover most were unnecessary, and her pain wasn’t explained by confirmed disease.

This case has sparked important discussion around how we diagnose and manage chronic pelvic pain, and it underscores something many people with pelvic pain know well: surgery isn’t the only option — and it’s not always the best first step.

👉 If you’re living with painful periods, pelvic pain, pain with in*******se, bowel or bladder pain — there are non-surgical care options worth exploring, including:

✔️ Pelvic physiotherapy assessment
✔️ Pain-focused pelvic floor treatment
✔️ Education on nervous system and pain processing
✔️ Tailored strategies to improve movement and day-to-day function

Pelvic physiotherapists work with you to understand your pain and support a management plan for you to reduce bothersome symptoms, often without invasive procedures. If pain is affecting your life, your body deserves careful assessment — not assumptions. 💛

💬 Remember: persistent pain is real, and you deserve a care plan that fits your body and goals. A pelvic physiotherapy assessment may be a valuable part of that plan.
