Role Overview:
The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic oversight of service delivery operations within our NDIS business. This includes leading service teams, maintaining compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements, enhancing participant satisfaction, and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
Oversee daily operations of NDIS services ensuring smooth and effective service delivery.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
Monitor KPIs and service targets, identifying areas for improvement.
Liaise with the NDIS Commission, auditors, and external stakeholders.
Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary team including Support Coordinators, Rostering Officers, and Disability Support Workers.
Recruit, onboard, and provide ongoing training and performance reviews.
Foster a positive and inclusive team culture focused on participant outcomes.
NDIS Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and relevant legislation.
Prepare for audits, manage incident reporting, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records in line with regulatory requirements.
Participant Experience & Service Coordination:
Oversee intake, onboarding, and service planning for new and existing participants.
Monitor participant satisfaction and resolve any service issues or complaints.
Ensure services are aligned with participant goals and NDIS plans.
Financial & Strategic Management:
Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
Optimize staff scheduling and rostering to ensure cost-efficiency and service continuity.
Requirements:
Essential:
Proven experience in an operations Manager or senior leadership role, ideally within NDIS or community services.
Strong knowledge of the NDIS framework, compliance obligations, and service delivery models.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience with CRM or NDIS software platforms (e.g. CareMaster, SupportAbility, or similar).
Ability to manage competing priorities and make data-driven decisions.
Desirable:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Community Services, Disability, or related field.
Experience in risk management, incident response, and quality assurance.
First Aid, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check.
