On Tuesday, our Health Promotions Officer Andrew paid a visit to Skill Hire, to talk to a group of future mentors about all things mental health.

The discussion ranged from navigating the pressures of social media to building habits that support a strong mind and practical ways these young leaders can take care of themselves and better support others around them.

Our coaches draw on lived and learned mental health experience to provide one-on-one support, working closely with participants, families and services to create recovery plans and access the supports that matter.

Our Mental Health Support Workers assist participants in everyday life, working towards their goals, building confidence and supporting independence at home and in the community.

National Mental Health Family, Carer and Kin Peak Expert Panels – Call for EOIs

Mental Health Carers Australia (MHCA), the national peak body for families, carers and kin supporting someone with mental health challenges and/or sucidality, is establishing two new Expert Panels to provide advice to the national peak and strengthen the voice of supporters in policy, system reform, and service design.
