+ LET’S BUST SOME MYTHS +
Last night in my masterclass, I broke down why certain messaging women have received their whole life is simply leading them to failure and making them feel like their body is broken.
💣 Here’s the truth:
1️⃣1200-1500 calories isn’t even enough to keep your vital organs functioning if you were to lie in bed all day and do nothing! So how do these trainers expect a women’s body to work optimally when you’re telling her to exercise multiple days a week, run a household and maintain “a calorie deficit”. The body can’t function so it slows down your metabolism, reduces your energy and screams at you to give your body more fuel (food).
2️⃣Yes, an hour long HIIT session might burn 500-600 calories but for the modern day woman who is already highly stressed, it’s going to put more stress on her body = storing and holding onto fat.
3️⃣Instead, building more muscle can increase your resting metabolic rate which means burning more calories throughout the day - without raising cortisol and punishing your body.
And no, women won’t get bulky. It takes a whole lot of dedication, strict dieting and testosterone to look like a bodybuilder.
4️⃣The modern day woman spends her entire day rushing from one errand to the next, looking after everyone in her life whilst trying to find time to look after herself. Then you have trainers that promote “w3 AlL HavE tHe sAMe 24HouRs” adding more stress to a women’s day.
And when your body is stressed it will always prioritise survival over burning fat.
5️⃣These popular weight loss programs use cookie cutter macro calculators to put you into a calorie deficit - leaving you depleted of vital nutrients, full of empty foods and barely any fibre = bad news for your health and hormones.
