🌟 Love the Skin You’re In! 🌟

Feeling good about your body isn’t about fitting a certain size — it’s about celebrating what your body can do and caring for yourself. Here are some tips to boost positive body image:

✅ Speak kindly to yourself: Replace criticism with encouragement. 💛
✅ Focus on function, not flaws: Appreciate your body for what it allows you to do — walk, dance, laugh, hug! 🏃‍♀️💃
✅ Limit comparisons: Social media isn’t reality. Curate content that makes you feel good. 📱✨
✅ Move for joy, not punishment: Exercise for fun, energy, and wellbeing, not to “fix” your body. 🧘‍♀️🏋️‍♂️
✅ Celebrate diversity: Bodies come in all shapes, sizes, and colors — every body is worthy! 🌈

Remember, confidence grows when you treat your body with love, respect, and kindness. 💜

If you need to speak to somebody, book an appointment with your treating practitioner or a psychologist online or by calling 92165600

🚨 Extreme Heat Alert – Tomorrow up to 45°C 🚨

Tomorrow is predicted to reach 45°C, which can be dangerous if you’re not prepared. Please take extra care of yourself, your family, and anyone vulnerable.

Tips to stay cool:
• 💧 Drink plenty of water (even if you don’t feel thirsty)
• 🏠 Stay indoors during the hottest part of the day (late morning–evening)
• 🧢 Wear loose, light-coloured clothing and a hat
• ❄️ Use fans/air conditioning, or visit an air-conditioned space
• 🚫 Avoid strenuous outdoor activity

🐾 Don’t forget your pets:
• Provide plenty of fresh water and shade
• Avoid walking pets in hot weather — if it’s too hot on your feet, it’s too hot on theirs
• Never leave children or animals in cars, even for a short time

Know the warning signs:

☀️ Heat stress / heat exhaustion
• Heavy sweating
• Dizziness or headache
• Nausea or vomiting
• Muscle cramps
👉 Move to a cool place, drink water, and rest. Contact your local GP, urgent care clinic, nurse on call or virtual ED if you’re concerned.

🚑 Heat stroke (medical emergency)
• Very high body temperature
• Hot, dry skin or confusion
• Collapse or loss of consciousness
👉 Call 000 immediately.

Please check on neighbours, older adults, and anyone with medical conditions. Stay safe and stay cool. 💙 🥤 😎 💦

Australia Day is a time to come together, and unity, respect and looking out for one another are more important than ever.

We hope you’re enjoying the day off with family and friends, soaking up the sunshine — and maybe sharing a bit of lamb on the barbecue. ❤️🔥 Don’t forget to slip, slop, slap 🇦🇺 🥩😎
