David came into Thrve Centr last week in the middle of a heavy training block after sustaining a bulging disc in his back.

Back tight. Inflammation high. Sleep disrupted. HRV sitting at 35.

When you’re training consistently and something flares up, it’s not just the pain. It’s the stress on the whole system.

This week wasn’t about doing more.
It was about letting the body settle.

Hyperbaric sessions. Contrast therapy. Slowing the nervous system down.

Seven days later his back is moving more freely, inflammation has eased and his sleep has noticeably improved.

His HRV has climbed from 35 to 47 in one week — a 34% increase.

For anyone who tracks it, HRV is a strong reflection of recovery and nervous system balance. When that number trends up, the body is adapting.

Sometimes progress isn’t adding extra sessions.
Sometimes it’s giving your body the space to catch up.
