Omnia Community Health

Omnia Community Health We are a not-for-profit, values-based organisation, established in 2026 through the merger of Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health and Nexus Primary Health.

We cover the Hume, Macedon Ranges, Mitchell, Murrindindi and Strathbogie local government areas. Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health is a not-for-profit community health organisation, providing a range of services that respond to the needs of Sunbury, the Macedon Ranges and its surrounding communities. We care about the health of our community as an entire population. We are concerned not just abou

t ill-health and treatment of disease, but about the factors that actually predict whether someone is healthy, like strong families, social cohesion and mental health, as well as the prevalence of risks such as obesity, tobacco, alcohol and drug use, family violence, problem gambling, and vulnerabilities that come from low incomes or ageing. We believe that it’s in making improvements to these factors that we make the biggest difference to health and wellbeing overall. While we are available to the entire community of Sunbury, the Macedon Ranges and its surrounds, we prioritise our services to those whose health and wellbeing is vulnerable or at risk. We invest our efforts where evidence exists that needs exist, and where we have evidence of approaches that work. For our Terms of Use for this page go to:

Rounding out Dietitians Week 2026, it's important to note that only 20-30% of Australians are eating enough fibre!

Fibre can help you feel fuller for long, reduce your risk of bowel cancer and improve your gut health.

Some simple ways to add more fibre:

Wash but don’t peel your carrots or potatoes.
Add a sprinkle of All-Bran to your usual cereal.
Choose a bread with the highest amount of fibre per 100g (more than 5g/100g is best!).

Our Dietetics Program is all about helping you understand the right foods for you and your family.

Here is another functional and fabulous food fact to help celebrate Dietitians Week.

Boost your vitamin D by placing your mushrooms in the sun for 15 minutes before cooking or eating them - they absorb the sunlight and can give you >100% of your daily vitamin D needs!

Give this a try sometime this week.

As Dietitians Week continues, here are a few fabulous and very functional food facts about kiwi fruit:

Did you know that kiwi's contain melatonin which helps you fall asleep and also to stay asleep?

They can also help with constipation and lowering cholesterol levels.

2 kiwi fruits per day is all you need - skin on or skin off.

Enjoy!
