Every time you say “I’m just getting older”, what you really mean is “I’ve ignored this for too long.”

You’ve given your life to your career, your family… and now your body is paying the price.

You wake up stiff.
Your lower back is tight.
Getting out of the car feels like an athletic event.
You tell yourself, “It’s just part of getting older.”
It’s not. It’s years of sitting, stress, and neglect catching up to you.

Your body doesn’t give a s**t how busy you are. It only responds to what you do (or don’t do). It’s not too late, but it won’t fix itself. Mobility isn’t a warm-up, it’s an investment.

Fix it before it gets worse:
Move in 3D
Train full ranges when you can 
Stop skipping mobility work 
Move daily

If you don’t start NOW, you’ll be that guy grunting every time he gets out of a chair.

I thought it was time to introduce myself.

I’m Iain. Born in the Highlands of Papua New Guinea, I grew up traveling, and that love for exploring the world hasn’t faded.

In my 20’s I’ve worked every job imaginable packing whiskey boxes in Scotland, working nightclub coat rooms in Brighton, and I’ve packed my life with experiences. If experiences were the measure of wealth, I’d be richer than I ever imagined. I eventually climbed the corporate ladder to National Sales & Ops Manager, overseeing 56 stores and 1,000+ staff. While I learned a lot, the stress, anxiety, and pressure of that role took its toll. I often wish I’d had the strategies I know now to manage it all better.

Thankfully, life now is very different.

In 2010, I made a change and started coaching. I landed a role in the best studio in Sydney, and it set me on a path to help people reclaim their physical freedom. Coaching reignited my passion for helping others. I joke that I help people make better memories—whether that’s climbing mountains, skiing, or smashing a goal they thought was out of reach. But it’s true. That’s exactly what I do.

A few random facts about me:
👉 I’m half Estonian, engaged, and a proud dad to my 4-year-old daughter. My family is my biggest “why” and I live my life the way I do to spend as much time with them as possible.
👉 Played semi-pro soccer, repped my state in soccer & waiting (yes, the kind with trays)
👉 Used to smoke a pack a day & drank more nights than not—now my passion is health, BJJ, surfing & longevity.
👉 Tore my ACL & MCL early in my coaching career—giving me empathy for people suffering from injuries & their recovery.
👉 Trance music is still the fastest way to get me motivated (even though I hardly ever get to play it anymore).

I’ve lived a lot of lives, and I love this current one.

They say you get old when you stop looking forward. I believe the best is yet to come.
