If I had a penny for every woman who said to me “I just want to lose some belly fat for my holiday in a few weeks” - I’d be writing this from my yacht off the Bahamas right now.

Babe no. 🫠

It’s not enough time! I have to be super honest about it. I don’t want your money - I want your results! 🔥

Belly fat is notoriously stubborn. It takes time to gain, and it takes time to lose.

I totally get it though, it’s an area of the body that we feel really self conscious about & we go to great lengths to cover it up.

Now, I’m in no way saying a flat stomach is superior - far from it, but I also don’t think there is anything wrong with wanting to feel confident & sexy in your own body, and who the hell is anyone to tell you what that looks like. So if you want to work on losing fat around your belly, then bloody go for it!

But, do it in a healthy way, a way that takes a bit of time, but that will actually mean that you keep the results that you’ve hard worked for.

I don’t really like posting about international women’s day.

Because IMO it shouldn’t really be needed, and it doesn’t seem to change anything. Women globally need more than a post on IG.

I am a strong woman, I’m surrounded by strong women. I was raised by the strongest one on the planet.

I know that truly inspiring women exist & don’t get the recognition they deserve.

More needs to change. The colour purple and a fluffy IG post is pointless IMO.

But, I’m doing what I can by teaching my son how to have high self esteem so that he never feels the need to pull anyone else down to feel good about himself.

I’m teaching him how to respect himself & everyone else. And show him that women are strong, equal & should be treated that way.

I’m showing him how to deal with stress in a healthy way.

I fear for my son now with the state of the world & some of the monsters with influence 💔

So I’ll doing my best to raise a good man, I’ll keep lifting weights & making myself strong, keep taking up space & keep building my business where I help other women do the same ❤️

K came to me doing all the body pump classes she could fit into the week.

She had a 17,000 non negotiable daily step target (that she had randomly set for herself)

And she avoided carbs like the plague.

She was doing all of the things she thought were right to build strength, definition & feel confident in her body - but it wasn’t working.

She was frustrated, exhausted & her training had hit a plateau she could just not push past.

So I flipped the switch on ALL of it!

K has two small kids, a busy career, and 45 plates in the air at all times.

I REDUCED her training amount, and her daily steps.

I put carbs firmly back on the menu.

And I used my LMT training & nutrition framework to get her results like this!

Not only that -

💅 we’ve rebuilt her core strength after 2 back to back pregnancies,

💅she’s doubled, and then some her deadlift weight,

💅 and she’s now smashing out full push ups like a boss bitch.

It’s not about doing more - it’s about doing the right stuff with intention that will actually yield the strong, athletic & defined physique that you want. 🔥

You feel like you’re doing all the things, but don’t have the strong, defined & athletic results that you want.

When you mention it to your pals, it’s brushed off cause they just think, well you’re fit & motivated - what you moaning about?

But gal, I get you! It is annoying & totally valid!

You run, gym classes, and move loads, but it doesn’t seem to work.

I bloody LOVE helping women with this problem.

I already know that you are someone who will follow the plan & get results.

It’s not your effort. It’s not that your body is broken.

It’s a few tweaks that need to be made & when you do - your results will blow you away!

Can we stop pretending that fat loss is like a skip through a sunny meadow?

It’s not. It’s hard. It’s why lot of people can’t, or won’t do it.

But…I’ve developed a method over the years, coaching over 100 women through fat loss - where they achieve fat loss - without hating life in the process.

Is it hard? Yeah.

Is it do-able with the right approach & support? Absolutely!

My LMT balanced approach to fat loss that I use with my clients, and I am using right now myself during my own fat loss phase is the key to making it work along side living your busy life.

Expat life is amazing - but also really hard!

People don’t really get it.

😣The little things that you previously took for granted all of a sudden feel 10 x harder.

🥴The anxiety you get while waiting in a queue incase someone talks to you & you don’t understand what the are saying.

😑Laughing when everyone else laughs, when in reality - you have no fecking clue what has just been said.

🫠The wanting to make friends & fit in, but also wanting to hide in your house because it feels really overwhelming.

😬Relying on Google translate like it’s your left arm.

🫣How mentally exhausting it is to have to translate everything in your head, and not take too long that there is an award silence.

But also -

👌🏼The beauty of discovering a new place.

✨The different people you meet.

🤸‍♀️The feeling that you’re truly living, rather than staying in one place out of fear.

❤️ It’s beautiful.

My anchor in it all has been my fitness.

It helped me through the dark & lonely times.

It’s helped me make real friendships here.

It’s helped me grow an incredible online community of clients with a similar free spirit to mine.

It’s why I am so passionate about helping women use fitness as a powerful tool to impact their lives In a really positive way.

With almost all of the women who sign up with me for coaching - it’s never a laziness problem.

I attract really hard working women (my kinda gals!)

But when you’re too close to something, or have too many emotions in the game it can be so hard to see the wood for the trees.

This is the beauty of having a coach in your corner that can spot the problem - and (most importantly) tell you how to fix it.

It’s why I invested in a business coach.

It’s one of the reasons why I’ve paid for my own online coach too.

It leaves you the energy & brain space to actually just get on with the job & get the results that you want.

I’m 40, and mum to a toddler, I run my own business, and I deal with all the usual life stresses that we all do 🙃

I love spending time with my family. I love pizza & going on holiday.  I don’t do crazy extremes when it comes to my diet or exercise - because it simply doesn’t fit with what I value in life. 🙂‍↔️

But I do focus my energy & efforts on what matters to me & keeps me feeling strong & confident in my body (& mind.)

💪🏼 I strength train 3-4 x per week, and I push myself to make sure I keep seeing progress with my training & building muscle. I love the challenge of it. This is my ‘me time’.

🤸‍♀️I run, hike, walk with my family & I’m constantly running around after my wee boy. It keeps it fun, keeps me healthy, & fits my lifestyle.

🥗I eat a high protein diet, plenty of plants & grains & drink loads of water so that I stay strong & defined. I also eat pizza pretty much every week, and chocolate with a cuppa on the sofa most nights. Because a life without food joy is pretty fu***ng dull in my book. 

❤️ I don’t love all parts of my body every day. Who does? But I mostly feel confident in my own skin. I work hard on the things that keep me strong & toned & I don’t let the odd low motivation day sway me off track. I show up. I get it done because I know what keeps me feeling good. 

And that’s it. No extremes. A normal gal. A normal life. 🙋‍♀️

Not “perfect”, but it doesn’t need to be to feel strong, defined & confident.
