I’m 40, and mum to a toddler, I run my own business, and I deal with all the usual life stresses that we all do 🙃
I love spending time with my family. I love pizza & going on holiday. I don’t do crazy extremes when it comes to my diet or exercise - because it simply doesn’t fit with what I value in life. 🙂↔️
But I do focus my energy & efforts on what matters to me & keeps me feeling strong & confident in my body (& mind.)
💪🏼 I strength train 3-4 x per week, and I push myself to make sure I keep seeing progress with my training & building muscle. I love the challenge of it. This is my ‘me time’.
🤸♀️I run, hike, walk with my family & I’m constantly running around after my wee boy. It keeps it fun, keeps me healthy, & fits my lifestyle.
🥗I eat a high protein diet, plenty of plants & grains & drink loads of water so that I stay strong & defined. I also eat pizza pretty much every week, and chocolate with a cuppa on the sofa most nights. Because a life without food joy is pretty fu***ng dull in my book.
❤️ I don’t love all parts of my body every day. Who does? But I mostly feel confident in my own skin. I work hard on the things that keep me strong & toned & I don’t let the odd low motivation day sway me off track. I show up. I get it done because I know what keeps me feeling good.
And that’s it. No extremes. A normal gal. A normal life. 🙋♀️
Not “perfect”, but it doesn’t need to be to feel strong, defined & confident.
