Our philosophy is built on the belief that it is easier to build strong children than to repair broken adults. By nurturing a child’s inner world during their first seven years (the period of peak neuroplasticity and subconscious patterning) we provide them with a permanent toolkit for resilience. We don’t just teach poses; we teach presence. We don’t just teach breathing; we teach self-regulation. We believe that mindfulness is a birthright, and when a child is rooted in self-awareness, they grow into an adult who doesn’t need to “unlearn” the world to find themselves.

This morning I listened to a meditation that described thoughts and feelings like an elephant walking into a room.

Instead of trying to push it back out, we simply let it be there until it’s ready to leave.

It made me think about how often we try to help children stop crying or calm down quickly… when sometimes their feelings just need space and safety to move through.

When children feel supported through big emotions, instead of rushed out of them, the storm usually settles much faster.

And the same is true for us as parents too.

Feelings pass when we stop fighting them.

Today is a big day.
New classrooms. New faces. New routines.
And for many little (and big) hearts, a whole lot of feelings.

Before the rush, take one quiet minute together.
Close your eyes.
Breathe in slowly.
Name one thing you’re grateful for today.

Calm doesn’t mean there are no nerves.
It means having tools to meet them with safety and confidence 🤍

If your child is feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotional, or struggling to settle into the school transition, I offer 1:1 Creating Calm sessions designed to gently support nervous systems, build emotional regulation skills, and help children feel safe in their bodies again.

Because calm is a skill.
And it can be learned, practised, and carried into the classroom 🌱

This week I received the most beautiful feedback; the children were playing “Miss Ash / Yoga” together the other day.

To know that our sessions inspire these little ones so much that they choose to embody and share it in their own play is such an honour. ✨🌿

These little moments remind me why I do what I do - nurturing calm, connection, and confidence in our next generation. 🌊🌱

✨ Mindful Minute with Soulful Sprouts™️✨

Today’s practice is all about the power of looking within 🌿🪞

When we gaze into a mirror and gently affirm words like “I am enough”, we’re not just saying them - we’re wiring our brains to believe them. This simple yet powerful mindfulness tool helps children (and us grown-ups too!) to build self-love, confidence, and a kinder inner voice. 💙

Mirror meditations remind us that the way we speak to ourselves matters. When children learn early on to smile at their own reflection and repeat affirmations, they carry that sense of calm and worthiness into every part of their lives.

Today, our little sprouts practiced saying:
🌸 I am enough
🌸 I am brave
🌸 I am kind
🌸 I am loved

And my heart couldn’t be more full 🩵
