Have you heard about the benefits of washing your hair with rice water? Have you tried it? What were your results like?

I have long hair and am prone to oily roots and dry ends. I'll let you know if this worked or not for my hair type in the comments.

About 15mins before having a shower, pour rice water through your hair and massage into your scalp 💆‍♀️ Then simply rinse out in the shower. No shampooing or conditioning required.

It's recommended to allow your rice water to ferment slightly for better results. I collected water from washing my rice before cooking dinner, then kept it in a lidded jar on the bench for 2 days before using it.

Red dates and goji berries tonify the blood and it's TCM function within the body; ginger warms the digestion supporting metabolism; cinnamon stabilises the Yang by guiding it back to the Kidneys to be replenished (akin to adrenal restoration).

Congee breakfast is the cornerstone to mornings in our home. It provides the body with warm nourishing food to begin the day with complex carbs, protein and fats.

It is also part of a lowered cortisol approach to our day, taking the time to prepare and enjoy our meal at the table together, this signals to the brain that we are safe and have time, dismantling rush culture.

For two servings:
1/2cup rice
3cups water (or stock)
Simmer gently for 15-20 minutes
Build flavour with savoury toppings and add your choice of protein

It's been a bit rainy 🌧 here over the last couple of days. Getting damp as you move between indoor and outdoor spaces, especially if accompanied with time spent in a draft or air-conditioning can cause external pathogenic influence in the meridians. Roughly translated, this means that the cold, damp, windy environment interferes with the internal balance of your body.

When cold, damp 🌫 and wind 🌬 show up in the body, it is often experienced as a wry neck, an unproductive cough 🤧 or sneezing, and stiffness in the joints.

Protecting your Qi can be as simple as wearing a light scarf 🧣 for your neck and shoulders, choosing practical footwear such as shoes with socks 🧦, and clothing that covers the torso (where our organs live!). Also opting for warm and easy to digest food and drink options such as broths 🍲 and tea 🍵 keep the interior warm and comfortable.

Have you ever done a Yoni Steam?

Yoni steaming is a gentle practice of sitting over a pot of steaming herbs that have been selected to support the health of your reproductive organs; and allowing the steam to warm your pelvic floor.

Pain is the body alerting you to a problem or imbalance. Habitually hitting the mute button with painkillers means not responding to your body's SOS.
