Louise Bastos - Sunshine Coast Artist & Muralist | At Solshine Arts we believe that art and creativity are organic and natural within every one of us.

My name is Louise Bastos and I’m a creative workshops facilitator. I'm Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapist and Counsellor (HICAT). I use art as a healing tool for you to feel more connected and relaxed: mentally, emotionally and physically. I have been involved in the arts my whole life. In 2020, I started working with mindful arts & crafts workshops and have already helped dozens of people to connect with their creativity. I’m also a resident artist at a famous Sip N’ Paint studio in Noosa, teaching painting classes to hundreds of guests monthly. I'm a creative soul that loves connecting with people and I believe in exploring creativity in a holistic way. I welcome everyone to my art healing space, and I am proud to offer a safe environment for people with different backgrounds. I’m looking forward to meeting you and celebrating creativity together, schedule for sessions will be opening soon, stay tuned. I facilitate sessions in English and Portuguese, whatever works better for you.

We had a blast yesterday visiting the new Yo-Chi store at and getting to see the bear statue I painted in situ 🤍✨

The shop looks amazing, and I’m really happy I got to create the concept design for the bear and the painting installation.

I’ll share more details about the inspiration behind this piece later, but for now, have a look at the delicious flavours and ingredients we tried — such a yummy treat!

✨ Something fun is coming to the Sunshine Coast!✨

I recently had the absolute pleasure of painting the Yo-Chi mascot for a brand new store opening very soon… and I couldn’t be more excited! 🎨

It’s always so special to bring a space to life with art, and this one was such a fun project to work on. I can’t wait for you all to see it in person! And I’ll soon share a little bit more of the inspiration behind this project.

Sold ✨ True Colours
This painting almost never made it to my feed.
I kept looking at it and wondering if it was the right moment to share it. If it was ready. 
Perfectionism can be a quiet voice sometimes. The one that tells you to wait a little longer… adjust a little more… refine just a bit further.

But this time I chose differently.
I shared it anyway.
And something beautiful happened.

People connected with it instantly. Prints started finding their way to new homes. And a couple of weeks ago the original painting was sold.
It’s now going to the bedroom of a 4-year-old boy in South Australia, which makes my heart incredibly happy.

This piece is called True Colours, and maybe the real message behind it is this: Sometimes the only thing standing between your art and someone’s heart is the story you’re telling yourself.

So if you’ve been holding something back… your art, your idea, your expression… maybe this is your sign.
Let your colours be seen.
