We don’t just reform systems. We ripple through them.
Ripple Reform begins with one voice—raw, unfiltered, and unafraid.
It’s the moment a participant says, “That harmed me.” And instead of being silenced, they’re heard. Echoed. Amplified.

At Elite Navigation, we believe reform doesn’t just start in boardrooms. It starts in lived experience. In the ache of procedural injustice. In the quiet courage of showing up again. In the refusal to be reduced to a file.

Ripple Reform is:
• Participant-led: The blueprint is written by those who’ve survived the system.
• Trauma-informed: Every ripple holds space for grief, rage, and reclamation.
• Poetic advocacy: Messaging that doesn’t just inform—it moves.
• Strategically defiant: We don’t ask for permission to speak truth. We build platforms for it.

When one’s voice is centred, the system shifts.
When another is scaffolded to speak, policy bends.
When you write your statement, they all listen.

This is how reform moves—relationally, unapologetically, and with ripple force.

Care Is Not Disposable. Neither Are We.
Support coordination is being reshaped. Reframed. Reduced.
The sector calls it reform.
We call it erasure.
Participant voice is sidelined.
Compliance expands.
Trauma-informed care is treated as optional.
Support Coordinators are burning out—working pro bono, absorbing emotional labour, and holding systems that refuse to hold them back.
Their expertise is exploited.
Their care is undervalued.
Their role is treated as disposable—until crisis hits.
And still, they ripple.
Still, they lead with dignity.
Still, they hold space when the system won’t.

Still, they are treated as disposable.

🕊️ World Su***de Prevention Day September 10, 2025
This year's theme: Changing the Narrative on Su***de

Today, we pause. Not in silence—but in fierce, unapologetic solidarity.
At Elite Navigation, we believe that changing the narrative on su***de begins with truth-telling. It begins with dismantling shame, naming pain, and refusing to let stigma write the final chapter. Su***de is not a failure of character—it is a signal of unmet need, unspoken ache, and systems that must do better.

We honour every life touched by su***de. Every survivor. Every story interrupted. Every voice that still trembles in the telling.

This year’s theme calls us to speak louder, listen deeper, and build spaces where mental health support is not a privilege—it’s a promise. A promise of dignity. Of connection. Of care that doesn’t wait for crisis.

💬 Let’s talk.
🧠 Let’s prioritise mental health.
🤝 Let’s build systems that hold people, not just policies.
If you are struggling, you are not alone. You are worthy of support, of sanctuary, of staying.

Together, we ripple change.
Together, we rewrite the narrative.

In case you missed the Friday afternoon announcement (who pays attention on a Friday 😅)!

NDIA have decided to hold off on the new framework plans until mid next year! The release will be gradual and they've vowed to continue listening to you in their endeavour to make the NDIS better...

🤔

We’re making changes to the NDIS to make it fairer, easier to navigate, and more flexible to support participants to work towards their goals. We are now aiming to introduce changes to planning from mid-2026. The changes will be gradual. We will keep listening and learning so we can improve.

🌅
Not all reminders come with words.
Some arrive muddy, frayed, and brave.
A single shoe on a porch.
A quiet act of resistance.
A child who couldn’t fix the system, but still chose to show us what was broken.
This morning, may we notice the quiet signals.
The ones that don’t shout, but still speak.
The ones that ask not for pity, but for presence.
Let us respond with dignity.
Let us ripple gently.
Let us remember that even the smallest offering—muddy, frayed, brave—can start a movement.

It started with a shoe. Just one. Muddy, kid-sized, sitting on my porch step. I thought maybe a neighbor’s kid left it. I tossed it aside. Next morning? Another shoe. Different size. Pink. Frayed laces. I was annoyed. Thought it was some prank.

On the third morning, I finally saw her. A skinny girl, maybe 11, standing at the edge of my yard with a grocery bag. Inside? Shoes. Old, worn, mismatched pairs. She saw me and froze. Then blurted, “I’m sorry. I just… I leave them where people can see. So they remember some kids don’t have any.”

Her words knocked the wind out of me. She wasn’t stealing. She was reminding. Her name was Lacey. Her mom worked two jobs. “Some kids in my school don’t have sneakers for gym,” she said. “I can’t fix it, but I can show people.”

That week, I put a basket on my porch: “Shoes for Sharing.” Neighbors started dropping pairs. Then more. Within a month, Lacey was hauling bags of donated shoes to school every Friday. The principal called me. Over 200 pairs had been given out.

One girl. One shoe on a porch. That’s how it started. Now there’s a shoe basket outside every church and grocery in town. People notice. People give.

And every time I see a lonely shoe, I don’t see trash anymore. I see Lacey’s fight to make sure nobody feels left out.

We’ll be honest—this page has been quieter than an NDIA callback!
Turns out, running a reformist consultancy and launching a trauma-informed retreat leaves little time for social media… who knew?

But here we are, showing up with intention.

Elite Navigation is led by Jodie, a quiet force in NDIS advocacy and participant-led reform. She’s spent years navigating complexity, centering dignity, and crafting communications that ripple change.

Now, she’s committed to sharing more of that journey here—updates, reflections, and maybe even a few poetic truths.

Thanks for being here. We’re learning to show up, one post at a time.
