Myth: NDIS is only for people with physical disabilities.

Fact: NDIS supports people with a wide range of disabilities – including psychosocial, intellectual, developmental, sensory, and neurological disabilities. πŸ’š

The NDIS is designed to help all Australians with disability live more independently and participate in their communities. If you're unsure whether you or someone you know might be eligible, reach out to your local area coordinator.

Bubbles for Bipolar 🫧

On the 31st of March, we celebrated World Bipolar Day with our participants. Why bubbles? People with bipolar are often described as bubbly, and we loved bringing that joy to life.

Today we celebrate Auslan Day! 🀟

Auslan Day honours the rich history, culture, and language of the Australian Deaf community. It marks the anniversary of the first Auslan dictionary published on April 13, 1989 by Professor Trevor Johnson.

At Superior Disability Care, we're committed to supporting all members of our community, including Deaf and hard of hearing participants. Clear communication and inclusive support matter to us every single day.πŸ’™

Meet Kylea! 🌟

When she's not enjoying a slice of tiramisu 🍰 or getting creative with arts and crafts 🎨, Kylea enjoys going for walks outdoors.

Her dedication, professionalism, and strong communication and organisational skills help our participants feel supported, empowered and truly listened to. We couldn't be more grateful to have her on the SDC team! πŸ’š

🚢 In 8 weeks our team is walking 35km in The Bloody Long Walk to support people living with mitochondrial disease!

Our SDC team are putting on their walking shoes to help fund vital research and support for Australians affected by mito.

We know we'll cross that finish line exhausted and blistered, but that's nothing compared to what people with mito go through every day.

Every dollar makes a difference. If you can help us reach our $2,500 goal, we'd be so grateful.

Watch this space as we document our journey to the big day!
