May has been a month of getting on the walking shoes and getting out in nature 29 out of 31 days walking over 1km per day with the biggest day in Spain on The Camino of 24km. I was joined by women in our Wise Women in Wellness Group who have come to together to challenge each other to prioritise their well-being, avoid burn out and run their race of life with endurance.

If you are a women aged 25+ and looking for encouragement to live a more holistic wholehearted life, where truth matters and fads and fake are avoided. Then a link for our group is in the comments.

Understanding it is crucial for anyone seeking to break free from its relentless grip and live free. Evidence consistently highlights the damaging effects of perfectionism on mental and physical health. ⁉️‘But I ‘can’t’ say no” ⁉️

…Is that a familiar thought when somebody asks you to step into a new role, position or favour? We approach all conversations through the filters we have created for ourselves. Saying yes because we want to be liked, need to be needed and or don’t value our own purpose, all contribute to overwhelm and eventually burnout. Or in the best case, disliking what we spend our time on.

🗒️Just because you are offered an opportunity, does not mean it’s yours. Questioning your desire to say yes will transform your timetable in a very practical way. Imagine loving each thing you turn up to in a week and not feeling bitter that you said yes! We have all been there, committed and hating it. It doesn’t have to be that way every time. Give these questions a go next time you face a new opportunity!

Discovering new passions and interests outside of the arena or studio can be empowering, offering a chance to redefine your identity beyond your former pursuits.

✨ Transitioning away from the structured rhythms of training and performance may feel daunting at first, but it also presents an opportunity to explore new avenues and set fresh goals. Remember, your journey doesn’t end here—it’s just taking a different path.

✨ While stepping away from your sport or dance community may create a sense of loneliness, know that you’re not alone. Reach out to loved ones for support and seek connections with others who share your passions and interests. Building a support network can help you navigate this transition with resilience and unlearn some of the unhelpful mindsets.
