Wishing you and your loved ones a great start to the New Year! πŸŽ‰

Hold on to the good memories from the past year, the fun times, the special moments. Learn from, and let go of mistakes, missteps and unfulfilled intentions. If the past two years have taught us anything, it is to appreciate every moment as it is, as our plans don't always go according to plan πŸ˜‰

We hope to host a number of exciting events in 2023, so keep an eye on the events page of our website.

Well, that was Christmas πŸ˜πŸŽ„

The team at Kingari Park Equine Hub hope you have had a restful and enjoyable holiday.

At the property we have been a bit distracted, with Beyonce deciding to go walkabout on Christmas Eve...

Thankfully we eventually found her after a whole day of searching and a lot of worry. We are so very thankful that she is safe and sound. Thank you to everyone who helped us look for her, especially Jodi-ann Goulter who drove around all day and knocked on many doors.

We wish you and your family a beautiful holiday period, and look forward to what the New Year will bring ❀️

It is that time of year again! No, I'm not talking about Christmas, I'm talking about Narky November...😲

Have you noticed an increase in irritability, greater frustration, more frequent flip-outs? Yes, we are all getting close so our tolerance thresholds.

Our bodies have a limited capacity for dealing with frustrations, stress and nervous system stimulation. Imagine this is your threshold bucket. All the frustrations of the day fill up our buckets like stones, some small pebbles and some heavier stones. When our buckets are full, it can take the smallest little pebble to spill over.

Our buckets are not all the same size - those with sensory processing difficulties, who are neurodiverse, are dealing with ongoing major stressors such as cancer/infertility, or have experienced trauma, have much smaller buckets. This means their buckets fill up more quickly.

In November, our buckets tend to be quite full - it has been a long year already. At work things are winding up before they wind down. At school and uni it is time for assessment, sport gala's, presentations, performances and more. Our children are essentially often exhausted this time of year, and so are we.

So, be gentle with yourself, and your children if you have any. Allow rest time, self-compassion and time for recuperation. Allow extra time to complete activities, give children more room to have quiet time, and allow them space to reset.

It will soon be Christmas and then a reset for the new year. 😊
