Itβs a question we get asked a lot as the weather warms up and the hot Aussie summer fast approaches! Do I still need to sauna when Iβm getting hot and sweaty anyway? π₯΅
The answer is yes! This is because the sweat your body releases after an Infrared Sauna session is very different than the sweat released from regular exercise, jogging or even sweating on a hot summer's day βοΈ
A recent research study analysed the contents of exercise-induced sweat and sauna-induced sweat. The scientists found that the sweat of people using a far infrared sauna contained cholesterol, fat-soluble toxins, heavy metals (such as mercury, aluminium, and arsenic), ni****ne, sulfuric acid, ammonia, and other undesirable elements.
Normal sweat produced by jogging, exercise and hot weather was mostly water and sodium chloride (salt).
The researchers concluded that, due to a saunaβs a controlled environment, its effects are more pronounced overall. In addition, it was clear that the benefits from sweating in an infrared sauna have an immensely greater detoxifying effect π₯
So this summer embrace the heat and sweat out the benefits in a TLC sauna! π
