Weekend win alert!

Our Service Coordinator Adam joined Kylie at the Golden Beach Park Run on the weekend, and together they smashed a 5km run! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Kylie absolutely rocked it, with Adam there every step of the way to motivate, encourage, and share in the fun. This is exactly the kind of support that New Wave Care is all about, helping participants reach their goals and feel like absolute champions while doing it, because to us, that’s exactly what they are!

We are so proud to share this memory with you all!

Kylie gave her consent for this photo to be taken and shared. She’s excited to share this incredible experience with others and show that anything is possible with a little support and determination.

✨MEET OUR HYPE GIRL – KRISTIN! ✨

In true Kristin style… her video is almost 3 minutes long. Why? Because when Kristin gets talking NDIS, there’s no stopping her! 😆

Kristin may be the newest member of the New Wave Care team, but she’s no stranger to the NDIS space. She’s done it all from Manager of Disability Equipment Stores, to Support Worker, Disability Personal Trainer, and Business Development Manager.

What makes Kristin truly unforgettable? Her energy, positivity, and passion are contagious. She uses her lived experience to empower others, and she absolutely thrives on connecting with providers across the NDIS sector who are making big, positive moves. 🌟

We are beyond grateful to have Kristin on our team . She’s not just part of New Wave Care, she’s a movement of positivity, empowerment, and connection.

🎬 Check out the video and see Kristin bringing her energy, passion, and unstoppable positivity to life. She truly lights up the rooms she walks into! ✨

💪 Smashing Goals at the Gym! 💪

A huge shoutout to Tammy and her incredible support worker Tyler, who have been absolutely smashing it at the gym!

Tyler has been doing an amazing job supporting Tammy with her fitness goals. Showing up, putting in the work, building strength, and most importantly having fun along the way.

This is exactly why we love what we do. Supporting participants to get out into the community, try new things, and build confidence is such an important part of living a full and independent life.

The gym isn’t just about lifting weights, it’s about building confidence, improving wellbeing, creating routines, and proving to yourself that you can achieve incredible things. And Tammy is doing exactly that. 💪✨

Seeing participants supported in environments where they feel empowered, motivated and proud of themselves is what this sector is all about.

Massive well done to Tammy for showing up and giving it her all, and to Tyler for being such a fantastic support worker and champion along the way. We love to see it! 🙌

Some days in this sector just fill your cup right up… and today was one of those days. 🔥💛

Today Brendan and Kristin jumped on a Teams call with Cam from Juiced Up Groms

And here’s the thing…

This wasn’t about networking.
This wasn’t about business development.
This was about something way more important.

Connection. Support. And backing good people in the NDIS space. 🙌

One of the best parts of working in this sector is the incredible humans you meet along the way the providers who genuinely care, who show up for the right reasons, and who are doing powerful things in the community.

Juiced Up Groms is absolutely one of those organisations. 💥

Brendan had met Cam previously at one of their awesome events, but Kristin hadn’t had the chance yet… and look, anyone who knows Kristin knows this:

If someone is out there making big positive moves in the industry, she HAS to meet them!

So today was about sitting down (virtually) and just talking.

Talking about the challenges in our sector.
Sharing experiences.
Learning from each other.
And talking about the exciting futures ahead for Juiced Up Groms and New Wave Care.

And WOW… what a conversation. 🤯

When passionate people who genuinely care about outcomes get in a room together, the energy is different. The ideas are different. The vision is different.

We walked away from that call feeling incredibly grateful to know Cam and his amazing team and honestly… we just LOVE what they are doing in the NDIS space. 👏

Also… important side note from the Teams screenshot…

Apparently the shaka 🤙 hand sign is a lot harder than it looks.

Cam absolutely nailed it (which makes sense because it’s literally the awesome Juiced Up Groms logo)… meanwhile Brendan and Kristin looked like they were aggressively waving at someone across the road and those concentration faces.... 😂

Now real talk for a second…

If you haven’t heard of Juiced Up Groms yet…

You really are missing out!

Because these guys are doing some seriously cool things for young people across the Sunshine Coast.

Founded by two passionate legends, Cam and Chris. Two excitable Sunshine Coast locals on a mission to inspire and empower kids to live a JUICED UP life. 🚀

And their programs? Incredible.

⚡ 10 Week Programs that include:
• Mobility and games sessions to build motor skills and physical capacity
• Personalised coaching that builds confidence and social skills
• Individual success plans tailored to each child
• Support through their Pocket Coach App

⚡ Build Your Adventure – Support Care (ages 7–14)
• Personalised adventures and excursions
• Skill building in real-life environments
• Social development and community connection
• Pick up and drop off included (which parents LOVE 🙌)

⚡ Personal Development Focus
• Confidence and self-esteem
• Social skills and community engagement
• Physical capacity and active outdoor experiences
• Positive role models guiding every step of the way

They’re running programs across the Sunshine Coast including:
📍 Noosa
📍 Bli Bli
📍 Nambour
📍 Kawana
📍 Buderim
📍 Caloundra

And the impact they’re making for kids and families? Massive. 💛

Cam, thank you for your time and the conversation today.

We are genuinely grateful to know you and your team, and we are cheering you on every step of the way.

Because when good providers back each other, share ideas and support one another… the real winners are the participants and families we all serve.

And that’s what this is all about. 🤟🌊

What does it feel like to truly belong with a provider?

Not just be allocated.
Not just be rostered.
Not just be “managed.”

But belong!

Belonging is when you don’t feel like you have to explain yourself over and over again.

It’s when your support worker knows what you love to do.
When your goals aren’t sitting in a document, they’re being worked on every single week.

Belonging is when you are treated like the expert of your own life because you ARE.

At New Wave Care, you are not a funding package.
You are not a timesheet.
You are not a slot in someone’s working week.

You are a human being with ambition. With preferences. With bad days and brilliant days. With dreams that deserve momentum.

Belonging means:
🌊 You are listened to.
🌊 Your goals drive the support.
🌊 Your voice is respected in every decision.
🌊 Your growth is celebrated.

And when things feel hard?
We don’t disappear.
We don’t minimise.
We lean in.

Because support should feel safe.
It should feel empowering.
It should feel like someone is genuinely walking beside you. Not ahead of you, not behind you.

At New Wave Care, belonging isn’t a tagline.
It’s the standard.

And you deserve nothing less. 💛

Please note, every participant featured in these photos has given full consent and absolutely loves being part of the New Wave Care story. They’re not just included… they’re proud to belong. 💛🌊

Different locations. Same energy. 🔥

One thing about us? We might work from different offices, homes, cars, cafés… but we are NEVER out of sync. 🤝✨

Today Adam was hanging out with our Director Brendan and, naturally because they can’t help themselves, they checked in on Kristin as she’d been a little quiet this week.

Mind you… “quiet” for Kristin just means she’s been flat out networking, creating content, and designing posters for us behind the scenes. So not quiet at all, just in full powerhouse mode. 💥

Her response?
A mid-work selfie and honestly… SUCH a Kristin thing to say:
“Hey guys… USE your stand-up desks.” 😄💻⬆️
We didn’t invest in stand-up desks for decoration, people!!!!

We build environments where our team can thrive not just clock in and countdown to home time.

✨We check in on each other.
✨We remind each other to drink water and take breaks.
✨We hype each other up when someone’s smashing it (which is often).

Because wellbeing here isn’t a dusty policy in a folder that sits on the shelf no-one looks at.
It’s daily behaviour.

When our team thrives, our participants thrive.
And that ripple effect? That’s the positive waves! 💙

And if you know Kristin, you know she is absolutely standing, thriving, music on when she isn't networking and loving every second of it. 💪✨

This is our culture.
This is the vibe.
This is New Wave Care. 🌊

Connection. Culture. Care.
No matter the postcode. 💙

“Thriving is possible. Not someday. Today.”
We say this often at New Wave Care because we believe it!

Thriving isn’t just about ticking boxes on a plan.
It’s not just about filling shifts.
And it’s definitely not about doing the bare minimum.

Thriving is when a participant feels heard.
When confidence starts to build.
When goals move from “maybe one day” to “let’s try today.”

It’s in the small wins.
The first independent outing.
The new skill mastered.
The moment someone realises they’re capable of more than they thought.

We focus on:

🌊 Support that is consistent and reliable
🌊 Matching the right support workers to the right participants
🌊 Building genuine relationships not transactional services
🌊 Creating environments where people feel safe enough to grow

Because thriving doesn’t happen by accident.

It happens when support is intentional.
When communication is strong.
When participants are placed at the centre of every decision.

We don’t believe in “just maintaining.”

We believe in momentum.
In progress.
In people feeling empowered in their own lives.

Thriving is possible.
Not someday.
Today!

If you’re a participant, family member, Support Coordinator, Psychosocial Recovery Coach, Plan Manager or know someone looking for support that focuses on real outcomes our door is always open. 💛🌊

Last week, our incredible Service Coordinator Sarah had the absolute privilege of visiting the HQ of Wheelnutz Garage in Meadowbrook and WOW… what an experience! 🏁🚘

Now here’s something you might not know about Sarah… she LOVES her cars. Not just a little bit. We’re talking full revhead energy 🏎️💨 So stepping into a garage surrounded by horsepower, innovation and pure passion was basically her happy place. Add in meeting the powerhouse founders behind it all Jade Burgmann and Gavin McCarthy and it’s safe to say 2026 is off to a flying start 🚀🔩

These two aren’t just running garages… they’re running a movement. 🚗✨

With six locations across South East Queensland, including a site at Queensland Raceway 🏁, Wheelnutz Garage is Australia’s only community service built specifically for racing fans, hot rodders, circuit junkies, tuners, 4WD lovers and full-blown petrol heads 🔥🚙

But here’s where it gets even more powerful…

This business is registered, inclusive and completely committed to proving that people with disabilities can achieve absolutely anything especially in the workforce 💪🔧 Every workshop floor tells a story of opportunity, training, award-wage employment and genuine career pathways. This is what thinking outside the box looks like 🧠⚙️

Jade doesn’t just co-run six garages (yes… SIX! 😲🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗). In her “spare” time she works across the automotive industry creating real employment pathways for people with disabilities. That’s leadership. That’s impact. That’s heart ❤️🔩

And then there’s their incredible mental health initiative, Torque It Out Mental Health Support. 🧠🔧 This program is changing lives by reducing psychological distress and su***de risk for men aged 25–49 in the Jimboomba and Logan River regions. Walk in. No appointment. No judgement. Just real conversations inside a garage environment where people feel comfortable. Sometimes the best therapy starts under a bonnet. 🚘🛠️

Their outreach team is on the ground weekly around Jimboomba 🚗💨 The Fellas Guides to Mental Health resource hub keeps men informed and supported 📘 The Trusted Mates Program trains community leaders like coaches and barbers to confidently support those around them 🤝 And their Cars & Coffee mornings keep the community connected over engines and espresso ☕🏎️

We also can’t forget TyreNutz, Australia’s first tyre fitting social enterprise 🚛🔩 Based in Slacks Creek and at Queensland Raceway, every single tyre fitted directly supports meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities. They’re not just changing tyres… they’re changing lives. 🔁❤️

The alignment between Wheelnutz Garage and New Wave Care is undeniable. 🚀🔧

Sarah walked away inspired, energised and already dreaming about future collaborations 🤝🚗 And as an organisation, New Wave Care could not be more excited about the connection we are building. The road ahead is full of opportunity and we are ready to put our foot on the accelerator 🏁💨

If you haven’t already, go check out Wheelnutz Garage. Support them. Share their mission. Visit a location. Have a chat.

And if you’re reading this thinking, “I would LOVE to be part of that crew” 👩‍🔧👨‍🔧 reach out. We know they would love to hear from you. 🚗🔧

Watch this space… 2026 is going to be BIG. 💥🏎️✨

What a beautiful way to start the week. 💙

Support worker Rob took Geoffrey to the library for a very important mission, researching all the Broncos games for this year and looking up stats and info on his favourite player, Corey Jensen from the Brisbane Broncos 🏉

On the surface, it’s a simple library visit.

But when you look a little deeper, it’s so much more.

✨ It’s Geoffrey being supported to follow what genuinely excites him.
✨ It’s Geoffrey building confidence navigating community spaces.
✨ It’s Geoffrey developing research skills, using technology, asking questions, and making his own choices.
✨ It’s Geoffrey’s independence growing quietly but powerfully in the background. 💙

This is what the NDIS was designed for.

Not just appointments. Not just therapies. But real lives. Real interests. Real joy.

For Geoffrey, that joy lives in footy, player stats and everything Broncos.

That’s dignity.
That’s inclusion.
That’s capacity building in its truest form.

Moments like this might seem small to the outside world.
But they’re not small to the person living them.

And that’s why they matter. 💙

Where’s Kristin?!?! 👀😂

We’ve had a few people ask,
“Hey… that girl you hired recently… where is she?”

Kristin came into New Wave Care on a MISSION. 🚀
And that mission?

Get us networking more.
Seen more.
In more rooms.
On more screens.
Basically… everywhere!!!!

What you might not know is that Kristin is the QUEEN of remote networking in the NDIS sector 👑💻

While some people are booking coffee catch-ups…
Kristin is collecting Teams links like Pokémon cards.

She has even dragged Director Brendan onto a Teams this month 😂👏

Most days she’s locked into back-to-back virtual sessions with incredible NDIS providers from all across Australia, building relationships, opening conversations, and making sure New Wave Care is showing up in the right spaces.

So if you’re wondering where she is…

She’s a little quiet on our socials because she’s busy connecting New Wave Care with the BEST in the industry! The best OTs, the best speech therapists, the best support coordinators, and well… just the best of everything in the NDIS space.

Because just like us, Kristin believes our participants deserve the BEST.

And while she’s at it?
She’s also bringing more incredible support workers into our already incredible team.

She’s not missing.
She’s just out there making moves.

Recently, Zoey had the absolute pleasure of networking at the Brisbane North Disability Network and WOW what an incredible event!

The energy in the room was electric, the conversations were meaningful, and the connections being made were truly powerful. It was inspiring to see so many passionate professionals coming together with one shared goal of creating real impact within the disability community.

Zoey left feeling completely pumped and motivated after building so many genuine, high-quality connections. Events like this are exactly why we love being part of this sector, collaboration, innovation and community all in one space.

A huge thank you to everyone who made it such a fantastic event.

If you connected with Zoey, we’re excited to keep the conversations flowing and build something incredible together.
