Today, we pause with full hearts to honour the courage, sacrifice, and spirit of all who have served, and continue to serve our country.

On ANZAC Day, we reflect on the brave men and women who gave so much so that we could live in freedom today. We hold deep gratitude for their service, their families, and the generations forever shaped by their sacrifice.

Today, we remember, tomorrow, we remember and always, we remember.

From all of us at New Wave Care, we extend our respect, gratitude, and reflection to all veterans and their loved ones. Your legacy is not forgotten.

Over the past fortnight, we’ve been celebrating the incredible New Wave Care kids in our community… and today, the spotlight is shining bright on Zane 🌟

Zane support workers absolutely LOVE spending time with him, and it’s easy to see why… every moment with Zane is full of laughs, curiosity, and those little wins that mean everything.

Today’s moment? Sweet chilli scrolls in the making 👨‍🍳
And not just making them… Getting hands messy, having fun, learning new skills, and building confidence every step of the way because this is what it’s all about.

Support isn’t just about filling time after school… it’s about building capacity, growing independence, and creating real-life skills that carry into everyday life. It’s about turning “I can’t” into “watch me”

Moments like this might look simple on the outside… but they are powerful. They are the building blocks of independence. The confidence. The pride. The belief that “I’ve got this.”

And Zane? He’s absolutely got this!

We are so proud to be part of his journey 🌊✨

Have you met Katie???

If you haven’t yet… lets take a moment to introduce you to one of the most incredible humans making positive waves on the Sunshine Coast right now 🌊✨

Katie is our absolute powerhouse Service Coordinator, and in such a short time she has come in with heart, passion, and a whole lot of energy… and WOW has she delivered.

Teaming up with Adam on the Sunshine Coast, these two are creating something really special.

Katie has been out in her local community building relationships, getting to know her incredible participants and team, and showing up for participants in a way that truly reflects what New Wave Care is all about… real, human, meaningful support.

And the best part? She is LOVING it here… and we are LOVING having her 🙌

Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.

So if you’re on the Sunshine Coast and you hear the name Katie at New Wave Care… now you know the heart, the energy, and the impact and the smiling face behind the name 🌊

Have you ever had a dream… and been told no?
Not possible. Not realistic. Not happening. 💔

At New Wave Care, one of the things we love is turning dreams into ACTION and action into reality 🌊✨

Because we have seen it happen where that “no” becomes a plan. That barrier becomes a pathway. That dream becomes something real, supported, and achievable with the right people beside you 🧡

We don’t believe in shutting dreams down. We believe in building them up and finding ways to make them possible. We believe in sitting down together, listening properly, and asking:👉 “Okay… how do we actually make this happen?” and then we get to work with planning.

Because with the right support, the right mindset, and the right team behind you… dreams don’t stay dreams for long when supported by New Wave Care.

So if you have been told “no” before… maybe it’s time to ask a different question “What if yes is still possible?” 🌊

Without “yes”… these moments wouldn’t be possible.

Have you met Zoey? Zoey is our incredible Service Coordinator for Brisbane at New Wave Care 🙌

If you’ve missed our recent posts about her it’s been a little while since she’s been in the spotlight… and for GOOD reason 👀 Zoey has been out in her local community doing what she does best meeting new participants who have joined the New Wave Care community, getting to know them, their goals and what “good support” looks like for them 💛and at the same time… she’s been recruiting and matching support workers and creating connections 🌊

Today felt like the perfect day to bring Zoey back into your feed because Zoey is on a mission right now to find more support workers to join her already incredible team.

BACK TO SCHOOL DAY HAS ARRIVED!🎒

And just like that… we’re heading into a brand new term.

There’s something really special about this moment in the year that reset energy, new routines forming, and kids stepping back into school with a little more confidence than they had last term.

Over the holidays we’ve seen our young participants out in the community, trying new adventures, building friendships and having fun. 💛

We love those moments when you see it click. The smile before they get out of the car, the excitement when they recognise a favourite place, the confidence growing right in front of you. That’s the good stuff.

And behind every one of those kids is a family who gives absolutely everything.

We see you.

The early mornings. The planning. The advocacy. The love that never switches off. School holidays can be full-on, so if you got even a small moment to breathe, reset, or just sit in silence for a minute… we hope you took it 🌿

Now we step into the next chapter together.

No pressure. No perfection. Just progress.

We’ll keep showing up, backing your young people, celebrating every win (big or small), and making sure they feel supported, safe, and included in their world.

Sunday on the Sunshine Coast 🌊☀️

Just taking a moment to slow down and soak in this view… boardwalks, ocean breeze, and that reminder that we get to live and work in a place that genuinely fills the soul.

It’s hard not to feel grateful thinking about our Sunshine Coast team at New Wave Care.

The way this team shows up not just for participants, but for each other is something really special. It’s genuine and it’s grounded in real care. No noise. Just good people doing meaningful work.

In the NDIS space, it’s easy to get caught up in the busy, the rosters, the plans, the paperwork, the constant moving parts.

But moments like this reset everything.

Because at the centre of it all, it’s simple:
people supporting people to live their lives with more independence, connection, and joy.

And that’s exactly what this team brings to the Sunshine Coast every day 💛

Feeling pretty grateful today for the humans behind New Wave Care, for the participants we get to support, and for a coastline that reminds us to pause and breathe in between it all.

Tell me it’s a buddy shift in QLD… without telling me it’s a buddy shift in QLD 🌴☀️

The ladies were running ahead of schedule on the way to their participant, so they pulled over to soak in the gorgeous views that they get to call their “office”.

Our Caboolture Service Coordinator Sarah and Support Worker Sophie headed out together learning, connecting, and showing up as a team. Our participant absolutely LOVED getting out and exploring their local community with these two lovely ladies. Not just getting out of the house… but actually enjoying it, building confidence, and being supported by the right people.

This is what it’s all about 💛

Okay… normal programming at New Wave Care has officially resumed because ADAM IS BACK 🙌😂

After 4 weeks off living his best life (and making the rest of us wildly jealous with those cattle station pics 😅🌾🐄), our Sunny Coast Service Coordinator #1 has returned… refreshed, recharged… and FINALLY clean shaven to his relief.

In all seriousness though… you’ve been missed, mate.
By the team. By the participants. By pretty much everyone.

It’s not the same without you around.

We are so glad you took the time to switch off properly, soak it all up, and come back feeling good.

Join us in welcoming Adam back. We have missed you and we are so glad to have you back to make more positive waves with us!

There’s something really special about the New Wave Care team…

Even when we’re spread across different locations, working hybrid, or working remotely we still find ways to stay connected 💛

Stacey, our Accounts Manager, has been out on a little road trip and caught up with our Service Coordinators Katie and Sarah along the way 🚗✨ And honestly… this is what we love about New Wave Care.

We’re not just names on a roster or people behind screens. We’re a team that actually shows up for each other. We check in. We make time. We stay connected 💛

Because when you work in a space like this, connection isn’t something you “try to fit in your calendar”… it’s just what we do.

It’s what keeps us aligned, grounded and honestly, it’s what keeps the culture feeling real no matter where everyone is working from 🌊

There is new faces joining New Wave Care team and honestly it’s been pretty incredible to watch 🌊

Across Brisbane, Caboolture and the Sunshine Coast, we’ve had so many amazing people reaching out wanting to be part of what we’re building…

So… let’s talk about one of our newest team members.

BEC 🙌

Bec had been following along with what we’re doing, reached out to Kristin (our hype girl 🤠) and basically said, “I’m in… where do I send my resume to see if I can join?”

We looked at her skills, experience, heard her story, and felt her genuine love for supporting participants… and honestly, it was an easy yes.

Bec comes with a serious amount of knowledge, experience and heart for this space and you can feel it straight away.

She’s already jumped into a buddy shift with Zoey (our Brisbane Service Coordinator) and safe to say she’s hooked on working with New Wave Care 😄

And that’s exactly what we love to see.

Bec, we are so glad you found us.

We cannot wait to watch you do your thing out in the community. You’re going to make a difference, no doubt about it!

Footy season is BACK… and for Geoffrey, that means one thing 🏉

Time to rep the mighty Brisbane Broncos 💥

As soon as the season kicked off, Geoffrey knew exactly what he wanted to do... hit the shops and grab some fresh Broncos merch. No hesitation, no second guessing… just pure excitement and a mission to support his team 👊

And honestly for Geoffrey? This means everything to him 💛

It’s not just about getting out of the house…
It’s about doing the things that matter to YOU.
The things that bring joy, spark excitement, and make you feel connected.

For Geoffrey, that’s footy.
That’s game days.
That’s proudly wearing his Broncos gear and being part of something bigger 🏉

And for his support worker Robbie, these are the moments that make this work so special. Watching that excitement, being part of that experience, and seeing firsthand what it means to someone…

This is what real support looks like.
Backing people to live life their way. Whether that’s chasing goals, building independence, or simply enjoying the things they love most.

Safe to say… Geoffrey is more than ready for this season 👀
