At Yogi Friends, we empower kids to discover their strength and flexibility through yoga. We believe in the power of yoga to help kids feel calm and peaceful, and help manage anxiety. Our classes are designed to make yoga fun for kids of all ages, from 2-17 years. We provide games and activities and practice mindfulness, breathwork, and meditation while fostering self-discovery and self-confidence

. Our Yogi Friends students will benefit from a healthy nervous system, a strong immune system, and a better understanding of themselves and the world around them. Our classes are tailored to each age group to ensure kids get the most out of their yoga experience. Yogi Friends was founded by local mum Tara, a certified kids yoga instructor, meditation teacher, trauma-informed coach, sound healer, and psychotherapy student. Tara is passionate about empowering kids to embrace who they are, celebrate themselves, and love themselves for all that they are. Tara loves to share the joy in yoga and encourages kids to challenge themselves and find their strength within. We want our kids to feel confident, capable and strong. The National Health Survey suggests mental health challenges are more common among young Australians.

With high rates of anxiety developing in tweens, breathing exercises can be extremely valuable, even life-changing, for this age group to learn.

Our Big Yogi and Teen Yogi programs centre on mindfulness, breath awareness, and fostering a relationship with self. We encourage children, tweens, and teens to listen to their bodies, to appreciate and value their bodies for the amazing vessel that it is, and to love and appreciate who they are, for all that they are.
