💦In the fast-paced, high-pressure world we live in, our nervous systems are often caught in a loop of stress, survival, and overstimulation. One of the most powerful paths to healing lies in the brain’s natural ability to change itself—neuroplasticity. But what if the greatest accelerator of this change wasn’t effort or striving, but the gentle practice of letting go?

At The FunDaMental Movement, we explore nervous system health through the lens of biology, movement, nutrition, and nature. And one of the most overlooked yet transformational tools in our nervous system toolkit is inquisitiveness—an open, curious mind that replaces judgement, rigid expectations, and old stories with wonder and exploration.

💫What Is Neuroplasticity?
Neuroplasticity is the brain’s incredible ability to reorganise itself by forming new neural connections. It’s how we learn new habits, break old patterns, and rewire our responses to life. This capacity is lifelong—but it thrives under certain conditions, especially when the nervous system feels safe, supported, and open.

🔥The Hidden Blockers: Judgment, Stories, and Expectations
We all carry stories—about who we are, what we should be doing, how others see us, and what’s “normal.” These mental loops often stem from past experiences, trauma, or inherited belief systems. They create an internal environment of tightness, repetition, and self-protection—conditions that restrict rather than encourage neuroplastic change.

🔥Judgment locks us into black-and-white thinking.

🔥Old stories tell our brain that the past is the only truth.

🔥Expectations generate pressure and stress, shrinking our creative and adaptive capacity.

These are all cortisol-fuelled states that signal to the nervous system: “Stay alert. Don't change. It's not safe.”
And when we’re not safe, the brain doesn’t rewire—it survives.

💙Curiosity: The Gateway to Change
Letting go is not about giving up—it’s about opening up. When we drop judgment and expectations, we create space for curiosity. And curiosity is one of the most powerful states for activating neuroplasticity.

Curiosity says:

“What if there’s another way?”

“What happens when I try this differently?”

“What is my body trying to tell me right now?”

This shift creates neurological safety. It moves us out of fight-or-flight and into the realm of learning, experimentation, and nervous system flexibility.

🌻FunDaMental Flow @ 9am - This class brings bilateral movement, breathwork and moving meditation together into a fun relaxing and restoring fitness class. FunDaMental flow is gentle and aimed at improving nervous system health, boosting metabolism, decreasing pain and strengthening core stability muscles for lasting success. Everyone 16yo and over welcome.

🌻FunDaMental Reset - Reset is a group class that offers gentle breathwork and meditation along with fun awareness activities designed to unlearn old patterns and re balance our mindset and body.
