THOUGHTFUL FOOD INTAKE

Flexible : Ready to change and adapt to different circumstances

Dieting : Eating in a regulated and supervised fashion

I hate both these definitions and they bore me. Dietitians have used the phrase “nutrition mindfulness “ for decades, it wasn’t since these cool fitness junkies coined this phrase did this practice come more standard .

To break it down for you without all the bu****it “clean” “iifym” terms here it is IN BLACK AND WHITE.

Intuitive + quality nutrients and whole food + fullness (satiety) + your macros / calories and food (INDIVIDUALISE ).....your own plan

Now You can easily make body composition changes by simply utilising the 80 / 20 method/ rule bud please don’t forget the biggest factor … your energy intake aka calories

✅80 percent whole foods

✅20 percent whatever else

There you have it

Those that have the bro “clean food” approach still get results due to making food choices apart of their daily habits and lifestyle . To be fair nothing beats whole foods but there are times for the tool kit to changed when pushing LBM and then switching it to fat loss focus.

Lastly , Just like quality in protein can change in terms of essential amino acids , the same can also be said for both carbohydrates and fatty acids . Although sugar gets blown out of proportion in detrimental effects , it can most notably have effects on satiety and calorie density , many also forget that there are large differences in quality of fat , saturated and unsaturated and effects on heart health cholesterol and fat gain …which shouldn’t ever be ignored .

And lastly … don’t forget your micros ! Food choices matter

My breakfast after I train . Please keep in mind i intake amino acids and carbohydrates before and during my training in the am . I don’t ever recommend training on empty

160g banana Chobani fit yogurt
50gram blueberries
10g honey
1/2 bagel
1 brioche bun
2 eggs
10ml olive oil
300ml orange juice
15g Brazil nuts
100g avocado
1/2 lite Turkish delight

Nutrition totals 1075cal
Total Fat: 43.09g
Sodium: 1415mg
Potassium : 1200mg
Total Carbohydrate: 140.14g
Dietary Fiber: 11.9g
Sugars: 69.54g
Protein: 33.99g
