                                            A Sutra for your Saturday ~ 
Loving kindness is one of the Foundations of True Love .
You do not need to change anyone 
You just need to LOVE them. 💝
We catch ourselves trying to do that & we intentionally bring loving kindness to the parts of ourself - that for what ever reason needs that person to be different. 
Love doesn’t do well with rules. 
Rules at times are intended to protect us and keep us or others from being harmed 
One of the most powerful ways to feel safe in my experience so far in life is when I’ve  made mistakes from “not realising” something  (because I’m still learning & growing) & someone has loved  me unconditionally. 
They see it for what it is, and that you are trying your best and sometimes you just don’t know or realise things (until experience gives you that insight or wisdom) 
When I’m struggling with Self Love - or accepting parts of myself (the parts that have made mistakes, or not understood) I practice the internal Yoga. 
I bring  loving kindness to the parts of myself that I’m having a hard time accepting. 
I use the in-breath to make space inside my home (my body) 
I use the out breath to bring peace to my home (my body) 
If I’m still struggling - I keep practicing. 
I bring loving kindness to the parts that are gripping, clinging, or resisting. 
(Be it regret, resentment or remorse) 
I do my best to bring loving awareness to it all - let feelings run their course. 
If I’m still struggling - I bring to my heart & mind someone who loves or has loved me unconditionally. I remember their peaceful smile or their caring voice. 
The tension in the body starts to soften & the thoughts loosen their grip. 
I begin to remember - I am not my thoughts or my emotions . 
There is more space for the breath. 
There is more space for the heart. 
The path through - is through our hearts. 
It starts with Loving Kindness. 
Big Thankyou to  who practices and to anyone who has been our person/people that we can bring to our heart & mind to “remember” our experiences of Unconditional Love ❤️
