You were praised for pushing through.
For not needing help.
For “holding it all together.”

But the truth is, pushing through without regulating is why you’re falling apart.

Your nervous system wasn’t built for constant pressure.
Your emotional blueprint wasn’t designed for this kind of isolation.
And your worth was never supposed to be measured by how much you can tolerate.

If you feel like you’re snapping more… it’s not because you’re broken.

Face the stress, the anger, the pain you’ve buried for years, so they don’t have to carry it?

Generational patterns don’t break on their own. If you don’t process your emotions, your kids will grow up learning to suppress theirs. If you don’t heal, they’ll inherit what you avoid.

Your children don’t need a perfect parent. They need a parent who’s willing to do the inner work so they can grow up without the same weight on their shoulders.

The cycle can end with you. Will you take that step?

I used to lose my patience constantly and blame the external world for my own reactions 🤯 I tried so many different things but ultimately my nervous system and reactions controlled me. It was only until I learnt the art and science of how to breathe, it all clicked and changed for me. Learning how to breathe changed my parenting. Have you ever had a moment where you realised your nervous system/ stress / reactions were controlling you?

You think you need to “try harder.”
To be more patient.
To grit your teeth and stay calm.

But patience isn’t willpower.
It’s regulation.

If your body’s stuck in fight-or-flight, patience will never feel natural.
That’s not a personal failure. It’s biology.

Want more patience?
Start with the breath.
Start with building capacity.

Because the parent who breathes before reacting teaches more than any lecture ever could.
