Simple and Elegant

Crab on Toast with Lemon Zest and Herbs: For a simple and elegant appetiser, layer our cooked crab meat on lightly toasted baguette slices brushed with olive oil. Sprinkle on lemon zest and a few delicate herbs (we like tarragon or basil). Serve with a scattering of microgreens - so so chic.

It takes a few years (and quite a few moults) before spanner crabs are big enough to harvest.

We only harvest the adults, giving the younger ones plenty of time to grow, making sure these quirky crustaceans will be around for generations to come.

Cooking raw spanner crab meat is quick and easy. Here's one idea.

🌮 Heat a drizzle of olive oil or a k**b of butter, add the crab meat, and cook gently for about 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it turns opaque and tender. Add a splash of white wine and a sprinkle of fresh herbs like parsley or chives. Perfect filling for tacos.
