This would have been the last Horse Wisdom - meditation and mindfulness held at the old property two years ago. How time has flown.

Intentionally adding elements of joy and pleasure can be perfect element to rebalance ourselves when there is change happening around us.

Painting is beautiful way to we can introduce ‘flow’ into our state.

This isn’t my workshop, and I’m not familiar with the artist, but it’s FREE and connecting to our country through the gum leaf so it felt perfect to share.

Hope to see you there

How is 2026 year of the horse going for everyone else???

It’s been a little wild here, let’s be honest.
The hopes and dreams of something different we all held as we stepped into 2026 with … well so far it feels a bit like riding a wild brumby at a rodeo.

Different is defiantly on the cards
Change is a foot

So far, the year has highlighted who the folks are that run towards you to lend a hand, and then there are others who have faded into the distance like a soggy paper straw.

Love to the rodeo clowns and soggy paddock dwellers.

Keep smiling.
Keep moving forward.
Rediscover your passions and sparks and live your life the way you want to.

Know we are always here for a yarn, so reach out if you need too.

Friday Gratitude

As we are ending another working week, I invite you to take a moment, pause and acknowledge what you are truely grateful for in your life.

Energy flows where attention goes … let’s focus on what we want to ca more into our lives.

Four solidly in today, here is hoping the next 26 are easier … learning new things is always a challenge.

The determination need to start new things, and continue when life is not perfect is always a mammot effort ..: I know the feels at the end will be worth it.

Life is good, even when there are dark moments.
Our world is changing again.
We have seen this before, shortages on our shelves, price increases.

Our jobs will change.
Our communities will change.
We can embrace this change with fear or love.
We can choose to fight and scavenge for resources, or we can choose to pool together as a community and grow, share and connect.

I am choosing the later.
I can not do everything myself, but as a community we can be stronger together.

We have got this, I promise we will make it through to the other side.

When “Normal” Isn’t Necessarily Healthy

One of the most powerful forces in human behaviour isn’t personality — it’s environment.

We are deeply influenced by what the people around us normalise.

This doesn’t just apply to teenagers. It applies to all of us.

In different stages of life, peer norms can look like:

Teens & Young Adults
• Risky behaviour framed as “just having fun”
• Jealousy or control described as “love”
• Bullying disguised as humour
• Academic burnout worn as a badge of honour

Parents
• Chronic exhaustion minimised as “just part of it”
• Losing identity outside of parenting
• Harsh self-judgment about doing “enough”
• Competitive comparison culture

Workplaces
• Stress and burnout normalised as commitment
• Poor leadership excused as “that’s just how they are”
• Gossip framed as team bonding
• Silencing concerns to keep the peace

Relationships
• Emotional withdrawal labelled as independence
• Walking on eggshells described as compromise
• Lack of accountability accepted as personality

Rural & Small Communities
• Privacy valued over speaking up
• Staying in harmful dynamics to avoid social fallout
• “Toughing it out” instead of seeking support

Humans are wired for belonging. We adapt to survive socially. Over time, what once felt uncomfortable can begin to feel ordinary.

But normalised does not equal healthy.

Counselling often involves gently helping people zoom out and ask:

✨ If I stepped outside this environment, would this still feel okay?
✨ Does this align with my values?
✨ Do I feel safe, respected, and regulated here?
✨ Am I shrinking to belong?

Awareness is empowering. You don’t need to judge others to question what’s around you. You can honour connection while also protecting your wellbeing.

Growth sometimes means becoming comfortable being the one who does things differently.

Belonging should never require abandoning yourself.

Reach out if you would like support exploring any of these areas in your life

I have a vivid memory of being 21 in the USA working at a summer camp and I had purchased my first bible. It was a Christian camp and that was what people were doing - reading the bible.

Dispute my religious education, I thought I would ask God for some guidance on what I should do / be/ focus on and randomly opened a page of said bible.

It was a pretty cool book because each scripture was broken down into different ‘categories’ which helped to learn.

Lo and behold, I opened the page to under the categories ‘patience’.

So I had a conversation around patience, I read a little more, pondered, meditated… and it appeared the lesson I needed to follow at the time.

This experience popped I to my memory this week as I unravelled the string line for my new fence.

Slow down.
Gentle hands.
Softly makes things happen, not force.
Gently play and unravel, it will find its own cause if I give it enough room.

This isn’t a religious post, it’s not about Christianity. Just a reminder that sometimes the answers we seek are already within us, and a dash of patience can help us make this happen.
