Today was Provide First Aid Day.
As a requirement for work I have to maintain my full first aid training every 3 years. Having been massaging for 21 years this is the 8th time I have done the full course and each time there is a lot of skill reinforcement and some changes.

I highly recommend everyone undertakes a first aid course, whether it be to potentially help a friend, family member or colleague, it is invaluable.

Today it was pointed out we as the well established country of Australia only have a 5% survival rate of cardiac arrest outside a medical setting whereas Germany on the other hand has a 30% survival rate. This rate is most likely due to the fact that First Aid training is requirement to obtain a driver's licence. Imagine the positive effect it would have on Australia's survival rate if we brought this requirement in.

A little winter warmer from me to you.

So 100% disclosure I absolutely hate pumpkin but damn my house smells amazing this morning.
We have had some pumpkin and celery just sitting in the house for a few weeks now so it was time to pull out the trusty slow cooker.

My official taste testers (husband and eldest daughter) gave it the big Yummy seal of approval.

GO BLUES!!!

The fight is on and the fight is real in our house.
My introduction to Origin was in 2006, my now husband and I had not long met and he introduced me to the game. Naturally I couldn't just slide into following his team, there needed to be a winner and a loser.
We placed our bets and it was the 1st time NSW had won a game in a long time, my dinner and cocktails never tasted so good. 17 years later I stay faithful to the team that I chose and the state that I grew up in.
As you can see my little army of Queenslanders all have dads back.

For any sore losers this week I am available to help ease some of the torment 🙂

My Story...

Hi. My name is Jacqueline commonly known as Jacs. I grew up in Echuca/Moama down on the border of NSW and Victoria. After high school I completed my Diploma of Remedial Massage at the Murray College of Health Education in 2003/2004. Since then i have worked on board Carnival Cruise lines, Managed and worked as head therapist at Murray College of Health Education, been part of sporting event support teams and educated and worked in International clinics, while running my own side business of Mobile Massage.

I moved to the Sunshine Coast in January 2012 where i became a locum for a local business and worked out of a Chiropractic centre.

I took a break from full time work and went part time in June 2013 when i welcomed my 1st child, since then i have added 2 more children and completed my family. Now that my family is complete and getting older it’s time to reenter the work force a little more full on.

My service is Mobile Massage Therapies. I specialise in Remedial Massage, Sports Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Aged Care, Special Needs and Relaxation Massage. I’m located in Little Mountain and currently covering the Sunshine Coast from Caloundra and surrounding suburbs out to Montville, Maleny, Landsborough and up through Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Bli Bli and Twin Waters. For an extra travel fee i am happy to travel further.
