Tamara is a Naturopath, Clinical Nutritionist & Western Herbalist. Tamara cares deeply about the reproductive health of all women from puberty to menopause. As a degree-qualified Naturopath, Tamara has deep personal experience in several health conditions of her own including endometriosis, PCOS, fibroids and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis
which enables a deep and meaningful understanding of things that may be affecting you. Her passion is to support couples in their fertility journey to create healthy babies. Tamara’s journey started as an assistant to one of Australia’s leading fertility Naturopaths in Sydney, where she gained valuable insight into the healing power of nature and the gut-brain connection. Since that solid inception, she has distilled her focus primarily on root cause
identification of the patient’s health concern. She resolves health concerns by leveraging current, evidence-based, and holistic health solutions achieving long-term results by consideration of extensive case history. She is passionate in liberating patients from the debilitating symptoms often experienced due to hormonal dysregulation. Tamara also has a keen interest in stress support, pregnancy and postpartum health, autoimmune concerns including thyroid conditions, and children’s well-being. Patients can expect an authentic, honest and empathetic environment with Tamara as their Clinical Naturopath and Nutritionist. Tamara offers a variety of treatments that are realistic, as she believes that working collaboratively to create a plan needs to be achievable to be
effective. Both functional and conventional pathology are utilised, alongside herbal medicine, nutraceuticals, diet, environment, and lifestyle modifications. In Naturopathy we treat the underlying cause, and Tamara’s philosophy of a balanced diet being the framework for a
healthy relationship with your body is essential in sustaining long term holistic goals. She empowers clients to take control of their own well-being. Tamara believes strongly in continuous learning, often attending various seminars and furthering her knowledge to correctly identify health concerns and create positive, prophylactic results. She likes to work closely with each patient’s healthcare team including specialists in fertility, gynaecology and endocrinology as well as General Practitioners to collaboratively ensure integrative health care.

Navigating your health and how (and who) to fix it can be a journey. Often it can be a Naturopath that’s down the list on that journey but what I love about what I do is having the conversations and my clients are in tears as they feel so heard. Or they are in absolute awe of what we offer and wish they had seen a Naturopath earlier than they did.

I think the dynamic is slowly changing between conventional and complementary medicine but I’d love a world where they coexisted alongside each other even financially (aka rebates, testing). But hey, the woo woo works. I’ve had patients see me for one consult and then never seen again, and it will be months or years later when they reach out and say thank you, you’ve healed me. It may have just been the push they needed to cease eating gluten to make them feel so much better and energised, or realise that they had the tools in their kitchen to help heal their gut.

Let’s make the non-mainstream more mainstream, because it works.

We did it! Private Health Insurance rebates will be reinstated in Australia! Since April 2019, private health insurers have been banned from issuing rebates for naturopathy and herbal medicine, along with many other natural therapies. The NHAA campaigned hard for a review of this decision, which was announced shortly after the ban came into force. Well done .est1920 for the fight - what a huge win for our profession 🍃 ☀️

Preparing for the journey ahead: 📝✨ Check off your preconception checklist with a strong healthcare team, prenatal vitamins and digging into what foundational nutrients your body may be a little depleted in, investing in a lil’ bit more self-care can usually (always a plus in general longevity anyway), nourishing wholesome food, and most importantly—enjoying every step of the process! 💕

This is your reminder to add olive oil to your meal today.

Whyyyyy? Polyphenols present in extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) support not only heart health and prevent oxidative damage in the body but also feeds beneficial gut bacteria. The health benefits of happy gut bacteria include better food digestion and immune function, whilst a reduction in inflammation impacts both mental and physical well-being.

Whether you’re working on supporting your health as you get older, or stronger, or figuring out if you have a hormonal imbalance going on, acne, headaches, poor sleep, sore joints, fatigue... the list goes on but the gut microbiome is where we always come back to.

Happy New Year! I hope everyone is either enjoying some beautiful summer days with family and friends or back in the swing of a scheduled week and feeling good about the year 2025 ahead.

I’ve got some news I’ll be sharing soon but for now I’ll leave you with this beautiful bunch of asparagus.

Fun fact? Asparagus has the highest amount of naturally occurring glutathione, an antioxidant and phytochemical that is just magical to support our reproductive needs. Our bodies can make glutathione, but the ability to make what our body needs tends to decrease as we age. This is more of a spring veggie, but there are still a few bunches in grocery stores.

Looking forward to interacting with all of you more over this next year 🥰 💓

✨ Who needs to hear this? ✨.
Health, particularly when it comes to hormonal and fertility journey’s are deeply personal, and there’s no “one-size-fits-all” approach. Listening to your own body and aligning with what feels right for you is the true path to wellness.
🍃 Trust that your choices, no matter how different, are valid and powerful. Choose what supports your body, mind, and heart 💛

When experiencing pelvic pain, many women and their doctors perceive it as a regular symptom of menstruation. But a new app tracks women's cycles and alerts them to abnormalities, connecting them to health professionals via telehealth.
