Love this!!!!
A reformer is just an equipment — true Pilates comes from someone who guides with precision, empathy and expertise!
I still remember my first time teaching on the reformer , 30 years ago— no fancy branding, no music, no mirrors.
Just me, a client, and the work.
Back then, Pilates wasn’t about aesthetics or trends — it was about understanding the body.
Today, I see reformers popping up everywhere. And while that’s wonderful — more people moving, more awareness — it also breaks my heart a little.
Because with the craze, the word Pilates has been stretched, rebranded, and, at times… completely lost.
How many times I see the word Pilates used and abused and no Pilates is taught 🫣
Movements are copied, but the method — the why, the how, the depth — is often missing 🤦♀️
True Pilates isn’t choreography. It’s connection!
It’s knowing when to challenge, when to support, when to stay silent and let the body find its intelligence.
It’s empathy, precision, and care — not performance.
Let’s bring it back to what it truly is: a method of movement that transforms from inside out!
