The skins ageing process is a natural phenomenon that cannot be stopped or reversed but that does not mean you cannot still have radiant, glowing skin, after all, it is not about looking younger and younger, but better and better.
As you enter perimenopause and menopause your skin often becomes dry and sensitive, fine wrinkles may appear, hyperpigmentation may be an issue. Diet and lifestyle plays a big part in the condition of our skin, but by staying consistent with a simple face care routine, can help maintain a healthy glow no matter what your age.
A 3 step, gentle and natural morning routine:
1. Cleanse - Use a natural cream or balm to remove dirt and dead skin cells without drying out your skin. You can mix your cream with a bit of water to thin it out.
2. Strengthen with Facial Toner and Serum - Plant extract toners strengthen and regulate your skin and give your complexion a refined appearance. I like to keep my toners in the fridge during the summer months and use throughout the day to keep feeling refreshed.
Serum - Serums supports the skin’s natural regenerative functions, helping to firm mature skin and minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Soothing for reddened, sensitive skin as well.
3. Care with Day cream/lotion - The right day cream accompanies the natural processes of the skin, brings it into balance and at the same time protects against dehydration. If you find cream too heavy on your skin, use a light lotion that contains the similar ingredients for the beneficial therapies.
In my 8 week Skin & Hormone Essentials Program I teach my clients which products suit their specific skin type and my personal recommendations. We dive deep into different skin types and which routines are specific to you.
