Everlight Aged Care Solutions recently had the privilege of visiting the passionate and highly specialised team at Heroes Allied Health.

We were welcomed into their team meeting, where we gained valuable insight into how they support people living with disabilities and chronic conditions to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

One standout feature is their innovative “virtual home” within the clinic. This space allows clients to engage in real-life scenarios, supported by clinicians who introduce practical techniques and assistive aids to help individuals regain skills and confidence in their daily lives.

Heroes also offer some fantastic programs, including Stepping On, which focuses on building strength and balance while addressing key factors such as home safety, appropriate footwear, and the impact of medication and vision on mobility.
Their Cognitive Stimulation Therapy program supports people living with mild dementia, helping with everyday challenges like problem solving, maintaining social connections, and engaging in creative, meaningful activities that encourage self-expression.

Heroes Allied Health are far from your average allied health provider; they are true superheroes. Their multidisciplinary team is deeply committed to delivering clinical excellence and genuinely improving the lives of every client they support.

🌟🍲 MEAL DELIVERY DRIVERS NEEDED – Sunshine Coast 🍲🌟
💙 Urban Angels Community Kitchen 💙

Urban Angels Community Kitchen is reaching out for compassionate volunteers to help deliver meals to people experiencing crisis across the Sunshine Coast 🤝✨

🚗 What the role involves:
✅ Delivering meals in pairs (vehicles provided 🚐)
✅ Shifts available on various mornings & afternoons, including weekends ☀️🌙
✅ Each shift runs for approximately 2–3 hours ⏱️
✅ Multiple deliveries every day 📦🍽️

🍲 Volunteer opportunities include:
🥶 Frozen meal deliveries – door‑to‑door, Monday to Friday
🔥 Hot meal deliveries – Sundays in Nambour, supporting people experiencing homelessness
🌱 (With hopes to expand hot meal services to weekdays as volunteer numbers grow!)

What a fantastic turnout at the 4556 Chamber of Commerce Coffee Catch-Up at Larry Bakery in Buderim this morning. ☕️

Highlight of the morning? Winning the raffle! 🙌

I walked away with a Larry T-shirt, cap, fresh sourdough, almond pecan butter, and peach & vanilla jam... absolutely delicious!

Such a great little spot for a catch-up, with a super welcoming team. Definitely worth a visit, check out their menu!

🌟Everlight Aged Care Solutions Visits Steps
Pathways College 🌟

Everlight Aged Care Solutions recently had the pleasure of touring STEPS Pathways College in Caloundra with the passionate and dedicated Michael Williamson.

The student accommodation and facilities that help the students develop independence and life skills-such as cooking and cleaning are truly impressive.

Caroline and I enjoyed coffee and cake at the Steps Café, where all food is made onsite by the students, the cakes were absolutely delicious! 🍰

The café is open to the public, and all proceeds go directly to the college. The students even make their own jams to sell!

The college also features a garden centre, giving students hands-on experience and practical skills. The garden centre is open 7 days a week to the public, with all proceeds supporting Steps Pathway College. 🪴

We also toured the classrooms and experienced the college's very own Woolworths Supermarkets store, which teaches students about shopping, budgeting, maths, and packaging, providing amazing opportunities to gain skills that could lead to work in supermarkets. What a fantastic initiative from Woolworths!

I cannot think of a more worthy charity to support. The upcoming Steps pathway Charity Winter Ball is on Saturday 25th July, and tickets are available now, who doesn't need an excuse to dress in their finest, have a great time, and support this amazing charity?

Steps provides so many layers of support for students with additional learning needs.
It was truly inspiring to see education brought to life in such a practical and hands-on way.

Everlight Aged Care Solutions had the pleasure of attending the
4556 Chamber of Commerce monthly coffee catch-up yesterday morning, hosted by the fabulous White's IGA Forest Glen.

WOW - what an incredible IGA! Not only is there a superb range of groceries and beautiful fresh produce, but also stunning flowers, an amazing selection of specialty chocolates, gorgeous homewares and some delightful Easter treats. 💐 🐣

To top it all off, they even serve tea and coffee! ☕️

It's so inspiring to see local businesses creating spaces that bring the community together. If you're in Forest Glen, do yourself a favour and check them out - you won't be disappointed!

In a previous role, i had the opportunity to see firsthand the impact the Smart Solutions team made in supporting their clients to maintain mobility, independence & safety within their homes.

The outstanding level of care, professionalism & genuine support they provided is exactly the kind of service alignment we value at Everlight .

🌟 Giving Back Where It Matters Most 🌟

Last week Everlight Aged Care Solutions together with Claire Taylor from Whisker Coastal Property had the privilege of visiting Urban Angels Community Kitchen to learn more about the incredible work they do-and to begin the journey of becoming volunteer meal delivery drivers on the Sunshine Coast.

Urban Angels is a community food relief kitchen operated by IFYS, providing up to 15,000 nutritious, free or low-cost meals every month to people doing it tough. Since being founded in 2016, they've supported individuals and families facing financial hardship, illness, homelessness, trauma, and many of our elderly community members.

Their mission is simple but powerful: to reduce food insecurity and support households in crisis, delivering meals across the Sunshine Coast and as far north as Gympie.

What truly stood out was the heart behind the operation — a service run largely by volunteers, with some extraordinarily generous individuals who donate up to five days a week of their time to ensure no one goes without a meal.

🌟 From Sleepless Nights to Peace of Mind

A few weeks ago, Everlight Aged Care Solutions received a call from a worried daughter.

Her parents were no longer coping at home, they only had ACAT codes for respite, no permanent codes had been approved.

She knew they needed permanent care and wasn't sure what options were available — or if anyone could help.

With the incredible support of Aleisha, Client Services Manager at TriCare, we were able to arrange for our clients to move into the beautiful TriCare Aged Care Residences Ashgrove home under respite care, reassessed for permanent care, and this week successfully transitioned into permanent residency.

Today they are:
🌟 Settled and happy in their new home
🌟 Receiving the care and support they truly need
🌟 Giving their daughter peace of mind - and the ability to finally sleep at night.

This is what the right support, the right timing, and the right collaboration can achieve.

A truly perfect outcome for everyone involved.

❤️ When Aged Care Brings Hearts Back Together: A Beautiful Reunion at Palm Lake Aged Care Facility Caloundra. ❤️

Moving into aged care is never an easy decision. But when a couple who have been married for over 60 years find themselves living in separate homes, more than a 30 minute car drive apart, it becomes truly heartbreaking.

Our beautitul clients, who absolutely adore one another, were facing exactly this situation. Their devoted family, seeing their distress and longing to be together again, reached out to Everlight Aged Care Solutions for support.

From the moment we approached Palm Lake Aged Care Caloundra, the care and compassion shown was nothing short of exceptional.

A hearttelt thank you to Stacey Short , Customer Experience Manager, and Jessica Hanson, Clinical Coordinator, who went above and beyond every step of the way. Their communication, kindness, and unwavering support for both our clients and their family made all the difference.

Thanks to their dedication, this couple are now reunited in a beautiful home - and most importantly, back together where they belong. They even have their very own table for two in the dining room and are absolutely loving life side by side.

This outcome truly couldn't be any better.

🌟Exploring the Diversity of BlueCare Homes in North Brisbane 🌟

Last week Everlight Aged Care Solutions had the pleasure of touring not one, but three BlueCare North Brisbane aged care homes, thanks to the wonderful Emilie Rolfe.

What made this experience so special was how close these homes are to one another, yet how distinctly different each one feels - a great reminder that there is truly no "one size fits all" when it comes to aged care.

BlueCare Redcliffe offers modern, apartment-style living across three floors.
With Residential Services Manager Tina leading multiple renovation projects, the home has a fresh, contemporary coastal feel.

BlueCare Rothwell is a beautiful ground-floor home with a relaxed holiday-village vibe.
With multiple outdoor areas, a lovely onsite café, a large community centre, pool table and dartboard, this home really does have it all and offers plenty of opportunities for connection and fun.

BlueCare Kallangur is a smaller home with a warm country feel and truly stunning outdoor spaces that are a standout. This home features a fantastic library area, a gym and massage chairs adding to the many ways residents can relax, stay active and enjoy their day.

These three homes really do offer something for everyone, and it was fantastic to see such a variety of environments designed to support residents' different lifestyles and preferences.
