Priviledged to represent Everlight Aged Care Solutions at the Parkinson's Conference 2025
yesterday at the Maroochy RSL.

All proceeds from this incredible event went to the Parkinson's Fund - a vital charity supporting the brave individuals living with Parkinson's disease.

The conference was a great success, offering:

⭐️ Giving Back to the Community ⭐️

Last Sunday, Everlight Aged Care Solutions had the privilege of supporting Cafe Conversations at The Zebra Crossing Café in Maroochydore.

This heartwarming initiative began when the thoughtful café owners, Stephen & Julie Schofield, noticed some of their regulars were becoming socially isolated. They reached out to Cheryl Harris, President of Healthy Ageing Partnerships, who brought together a small but passionate team - including Helen - and Café Conversations was born.

Now a monthly tradition, Café Conversations is all about combatting loneliness and fostering genuine connection among our older community members.

Each month, Stephen & Julie generously donate their café space and provide tea, coffee, and delicious treats - all free of charge.

A suggested donation of $5 per guest is collected and passed on to support smaller, local charities on the Sunshine Coast.
So far, donations have gone to:
Carers Outlook (supporting dementia carers)
Orange Sky Laundry Inc
Shake it up Australia Foundation for Parkinson's Research
Katie Rose Cottage Hospice

It was a true joy to lend a hand - even if it meant brushing up on my (very rusty!)
waitressing skills. While I won't be quitting my day job anytime soon, I walked away with a deepened appreciation for hospitality - and the power of human connection.

A special shoutout to the passionate Maxine Robinson from the Katie Rose Cottage Hospice Op Shop - Maroochydore and The fabulous Kerrie Peck, Vicki, and Jess from 60 Plus PlayGround - an innovative program helping our senior community stay active, social, and engaged.

💛 It's these small, local acts of kindness that build truly strong communities.

Wonderful to be part of the lAgeWell Seniors Expo today at the Maroochy RSL! ⭐️

It was a fantastic event full of connection, conversation, and community spirit.

The IAgeWell Seniors Expo was established in 2017, designed to empower, connect, and inspire the local over-60s community across the Sunshine Coast. Since its beginnings, the event has gone from strength to strength - and is now the largest over-60s expo on the Sunshine Coast!

⭐️ Everlight at the First Gympie Disability &
Aged Care Expo ⭐️

Everlight Aged Care Solutions were proud to take part in the very first Gympie Disability & Aged Care Expo on Thursday - and what a great success it was!

A huge thank you to Gunabul Homestead and the Cooloola Human Services Network for bringing this important event to life.

It was such a pleasure meeting Kylie Elliott and Krystle from RangeCare - Blackall Range Care Group Ltd - their energy and passion for supporting others was truly inspiring. They spoke so highly of their workplace and their CEO, Gary Holland - a shining example of leadership that empowers and uplifts.

We also had the chance to connect with the lovely Katrina Jermyn from Home Assistance, as well as our wonderful clients Karen and Cass.

A special shoutout to Lisa Kimmitt for stopping by - always great to see familiar faces!

Thank you to everyone who made this day so memorable. We're excited to be part of a growing, supportive community in the Gympie region.

Bringing a Couple Back Together - A Beautiful
Outcome Through Collaboration 💙

At Everlight Aged Care Solutions we know how challenging it can be to find aged care placement - especially for couples with differing and complex care needs.

Recently, a husband and wife were both admitted to hospital, and their family was faced with the heartbreaking prospect of being separated in aged care. Finding a home that could accommodate both of them, together, seemed nearly impossible.

But through teamwork, compassion, and determination, we made it happen.
We were proud to work closely with BlueCare Kenmore, whose team went above and beyond to support this family. Special thanks to Michaela from BlueCare's Residential Services team, whose professionalism and empathy helped ensure a seamless transition for both residents.

Their family is overjoyed - and we couldn't be more delighted to have played a role in this outcome.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of visiting BlueCare Kenmore, guided by the lovely Emilie Rolfe . We were warmly welcomed by Roji, the Residential Services Manager, and accompanied on our tour by Andrea, the caring Administration Officer. Their passion for the wellbeing of their residents and pride in the home were clear in every interaction.

Kenmore has a peaceful, homely atmosphere, with beautiful garden views and a warm, welcoming vibe. And of course - no visit would be complete without meeting Georgie, a much-loved regular visitor who happily posed for a photo! 🐾

A huge thank you to everyone at BlueCare
Kenmore. This is aged care at its best - compassionate, collaborative, and always focused on the people we serve.

⭐️ Community Connection at Its Best! ⭐️

Everlight Aged Care Solutions was delighted to support the Caboolture Neighbourhood Centre Seniors Expo last week.

⭐️ The sun was shining
⭐️ The food was plentiful
⭐️ The exhibitors were passionate and knowledgeable

It was a wonderful day filled with community spirit, meaningful conversations, and valuable connections.

It was great to catch up with Simone O'Hara and Helen Chapman From Wealthwise Queensland.

We're proud to be part of events that bring people together and support our local seniors.

Wow - the views from this home truly are one of a kind! Nestled at the base of Mount Coolum, Estia Health Mount Coolum offers breathtaking views of the mountain from the front, and serene vistas of national reserve land at the rear. A truly unique setting!

Inside, this peaceful home features multiple internal courtyards that create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It's easy to feel right at home here!

In every aged care home, the people are what truly make it a home - Client Services Officer, Saul Fernandez is a ⭐️! Not only is he professional and knowledgeable, but he goes above and beyond for every resident and their families. The positive energy he brings is felt throughout the home and his genuine care and empathy shine through in every interaction - and it's clear the residents adore him for it. ❤️

Everlight Aged Care Solutions are delighted to work with this home!

🛌 A couples' room will be available next week, which is ideal for partners wishing to stay together in care - an increasingly rare find.
This one won't be around long!

In the spirit of R U OK? Day today, I visited one of our lovely clients currently enjoying a respite stay at BlueCare Bli Bli, while her carer takes a well-earned short break.

I stopped by simply to check in and ask: "Are you OK?"

Her response? A big smile and kind words about the care she's receiving.

⭐️ A massive shout-out to the wonderful Bli Bli team - our client couldn't be happier!

She told me how friendly and caring the staff are, how delicious the food is, and how much she enjoys being taken out in her wheelchair for relaxing walks around the beautiful grounds.

It's moments like these that remind us how important quality care, compassion, and connection truly are.

Let's keep asking the question - not just today, but every day: Are you OK?
