I’m Sissy Taufika and I help health-conscious people like you find your optimal health mojo - so that you can not only do it all, but do it well, and feel empowered and like yourself again (or better!). Because I’m also a mama, I understand that good health needs to fit into the everyday bustle we call family life. The Absolute Potential Health & Performance Approach

We base our practice on seven pillars of health: Thoughts, Breathing, Hydration, Sleeping, Nutrition, Movement and Community. Addressing all areas is essential to achievement of optimal health; whether you’re a new mum wanting to regain your pre-baby body, a parent wanting to give your bubba or teen the optimal start to life or someone who just wants to feel and perform at their best. We believe in empowering through education, active participation, finding balance, fun, and lifelong health, not just temporary fixes. Sissy is a registered physiotherapist, nutritionist and Level 2 C.H.E.K Practitioner & Holistic Life Coach. This additional training makes her perfectly skilled at providing a holistic, integrated approach to health and wellbeing. She specialises in: prenatal and postnatal care including pelvic floor and core issues, posture and breathing; paediatrics including musculoskeletal issues like torticollis, plagiocephaly and developmental delay as well as disability and adolescent conditions; functional exercise and training including inclusive exercise for those with a disability; functional nutrition for gut health, pre & post pregnancy support, paediatric and children's health. Sissy works one-on-one with you, in small groups as well as larger workshops and talks. What Absolute Potential is not

We are not a place of passive therapy, of people working ON or FOR you; rather we work with individuals who are motivated to actively participate in making changes towards a more fulfilled, pain-free healthy life. We are not a Cross-fit gym nor do we believe in the ‘no pain no gain’ principle. In most cases, stressed, overworked and over-trained people actually need less time exercising hard and more rest and recovery. We will work with you to find out what you need and what suits your life and body right now. We are not a ‘woo-woo’ spiritual or religiously aligned practice that expects you to sit for hours listening to the sounds of the ocean. We will and do use scientifically proven techniques such as meditation, yoga, breathing and recovery methods to help you perform better and get healthier. But we also know that what suits a 60-hour week business woman will likely be completely different to a 20 year old wheelchair rugby player. We help you find the best technique for you. We don’t hand out cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all programs. You will not be able to download an exercise or diet program that every Tom, Dick and Harry can access so we can make easy dollars. Each client undergoes a complete physical and life assessment and is provided with an individualized program suited to their physical, mental, emotional, financial and spiritual needs. We do not treat or see multiple clients at once, or leave you in a room alone with a heat pack. Unless you’re participating in a small group class or team building workshop, each session is one-on-one because we believe true service comes from personalised and dedicated attention. Even our group classes are limited to small numbers with every participant assessed individually beforehand and the class modified for each individual’s current issues.

HANGING

Often overlooked, hanging is a great higher level skill that all kids should master!

Benefits:
*Arm and shoulder strength - pushing and pulling, ball sports, doing school work
*Scapular (shoulder blade) and upper back strength - improved writing endurance, better posture
*Grip strength - helps playing sports, writing, bike riding
*Shoulder flexibility - reaching overhead, climbing
*Spinal decompression - better posture, less pain in upper back and neck

Most kids will naturally want to hang, whether it be monkey bars, trees or Mama's cable machine, making it a fun activity.

Kids with low tone or who spend a lot of time in front of screens or books hunched over will often find this difficult due to poor strength/endurance or lack of range. It's these kids that will benefit most from doing it!

Our Story

Hi there!

My name is Sissy and helping families to achieve better health holistically is my passion.

I’m a physiotherapist with a special interest in Women’s Health and Paediatrics, a nutritionist, life coach and a CHEK Practitioner (aka integrative movement specialist) - kind of like the ‘multiple hats’ job description of being a mum which yes, I am too!

The reality is, most of don’t have the time or money to spend going to see 4 or 5 different therapists in order to get a truly holistic approach to our health concerns. Yet being able to look at the bigger picture and someone’s whole life with all its nuances and differences, is the only way we can achieve true lifelong health.
