🏠 Working from home? Your neck might be paying the price!

While home offices (or dining tables, couches, and beds!) have become the new normal, they often aren’t set up with your posture and spinal health in mind.

Without proper ergonomic support, you’re more likely to develop neck pain, stiffness, and even Tech Neck—caused by long hours looking down at screens.

📣 This Spinal Health Week, take a moment to check your setup:
✔️ Is your screen at eye level?
✔️ Are your shoulders relaxed and supported?
✔️ Is your chair helping or hurting your posture?

A few simple changes can make a world of difference.

💡 Your spine supports you every day—make sure your workspace supports it too.

"📊 Did you know 56% of Australians are not meeting recommended levels of physical activity?

This increasingly sedentary lifestyle is contributing to a range of spinal health concerns, with neck pain emerging as a prevalent issue.

Prolonged hours spent seated in a desk chair, followed by extended periods of inactivity and screen time like gaming or binge watching, can result in poor posture and weight gain, exacerbating musculoskeletal disorders like neck pain.

"Kids & Parents Get the HEADS UP on Tech Neck!
With increased time spent on phones, tablets, and screens, children and young people are increasingly at risk of developing tech neck – a musculoskeletal disorder caused by poor posture and prolonged forward head tilt.

Non-ergonomic setups and bad posture habits while using devices like tablets, computers or smartphones can also contribute to this growing concern for children and adults alike.

Follow the Institute of Family Studies guidelines to limit screen time, encourage movement, and support better posture, spinal health and overall wellbeing.
