LOVED sharing with students the importance of breath to dance skill.

Many held breath when asked to balance and hold a their leg in second! By the end, they were moving to their own breath (learning to connect to their own bodies) and felt calm and refocused.

They know sits ups don't strengthen the core. They know rotation, inversions and full breath do!!!

There’s so much good about being involved in dance … but as someone who’s super reflective, I’m always looking for how to do better. I’m also always looking to be different. Why be like everyone else.

I am different, I teach differently (as all teachers do), but with a purpose of finding balance with mind and body, developing dancer curiosity so they learn how to take care of themselves, and most importantly, find connection to themselves.

Dance is so much about what you can ‘DO’ with the body. The outer, observable.

What about the inner unobservables. The Heat and Mind?

That’s Class for the Heart.
