These triggers can make you feel worse, so try replacing sugary snacks with fresh fruit or swapping your evening cocktail for a soothing herbal tea. Your body will appreciate the change!

Lower back and Knee pain during menopause?
Increase foods such as:

Tofu, black beans, quinoa, seaweeds, blackberry, banana, string beans, beets, eggs, duck, beef or pork.
Prepare some warming stews, congees, or soups that support the digestion.
Lower back or knee pain can often be due to kidney deficiency and blood stagnation.
These foods have a strong effect on strengthening the kidney energy and provide support to our collagen, muscles and blood.
Allergies, degenerative diseases, or other diseases may be caused by overconsumption of animal products, especially as we age due to the inflammatory response it causes therefore it’s best to choose non-animal ingredients.

Magnesium is a key mineral for hormone health and yes supplements can help BUT it’s actually quite manageable to get plenty of magnesium from your actual diet.
During Menopause our magnesium levels typically decrease with the decrease in oestrogen. We start to notice signs of magnesium deficiency such as:
- sleep issues
- muscle cramps
- heart flutters
- osteoporosis
- anxiety
to name a few.

Therefore, eating a diet rich in magnesium, having regular magnesium chloride foot baths or adding a magnesium supplement is a great way to support your transition through menopause.
