Pertussis (whooping cough): ‘normal’ coughing sound, with uncontrollable bouts and a possible high-pitched wheezing in-between.

Helping a little one through illness is sometimes daunting!
Here are some tips:
1. Keep bub hydrated with breast milk or formula
2. Use a cool mist humidifier to ease congestion and make sleeping easier
3. Elevate bub’s head with a rolled towel under the mattress to ease congestion
4. Consult your doctor or pediatrician if bub’s temperature exceeds 38°C
5. Make sure you are eating, hydrating, and getting some rest so you can stay healthy for bub!
6. Ask your TerryWhite Chemmart Pharmacist about flu vaccinations for children in your state
Things can change, so always follow your paediatrician and Pharmacist’s advice, seek medical attention if your child’s symptoms don’t improve. With the right care—and love—they will feel better in no time!
