How is it May?! A little update from me ❤️
I have been pretty quiet on here - intentionally most of the time
This year has been very busy ~ so far supporting many gorgeous women and their families through pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
Days supporting Mama’s in the amazing Day Stay
This year I’ve really seen the beauty of working alongside others who align with my own values and passion for supporting women.
Working in ‘dream teams’ of doulas supporting families together. Working alongside amazing IBCLC’S, GPS and Midwives weaving our roles and skills together to give the best care possible.

As I’ve ventured on my own path to support my mental health and well being I’ve felt the real power first hand of how important it is to feel heard and space held. It’s given me more drive then ever ❤️

So, I may be quiet on here but behind the scenes oh so busy loving on all the Mama’s and families - and also loving on my own babe and family 💫❤️

This time two weeks ago I was getting messages from my dear friend that she was in early labour “I am either peeing my pants or it might be my waters”

Asking me moons ago in February to once again be her birth doula for their second home birth.

I am so proud of this woman and her wonderful partner.
The instinctual trust that they both had for her body was again such a joy to witness ❤️

This little love was definitely eager to join earthside just as her sister was.

A home birth that turned into a free birth

An early morning I will never forget and will cherish always

The rawness, the power, the stamina, strength and utter most determination and beauty took my breath away.

I find it hard to find adequate words to describe the moment I’m witnessing life being born. I feel calm and completely in awe of what women are capable of.

As the midwife was on her way; Mama instinctively moved her body into position in the pool and babe was out within 2-3 contractions. Straight up to Mama ❤️ Warmth, hugs and love

When the midwives arrived we had Mama and babe tucked up on the lounge with Dad and big sister close by ❤️ Grandma and myself making tea 💫

Thank you; my beautiful friend for again trusting me to be by your side. I think you are incredible and I am so proud of you 🩷

It’s a wrap ~ I’ve been pretty quiet on here the last few months but very busy behind the scenes ❤️
Thank you so much to all the wonderful humans I’ve had the absolute honour and joy supporting and getting to know this year.
I’m a big believer in fate and am forever grateful for crossing paths with so many amazing women and families this year that my heart is full.
I have some exciting new adventures on the horizon for the New Year 💜 which I just can’t wait to start - but for now, some time for slowing down with my little family.
From mine to yours - lots of love xx

I take the time to soak up the endurance & beauty of birth and often pinch myself that I am welcomed as part of the team and get to witness and support these glorious babes being born earth side

Supporting birth is always unpredictable and I am constantly in the presence of women who exude strength & courage ~ to witness the step into parenthood at the exact moment is so magical. I am just beyond proud of you both ❤️

Mama - You were power 💫 a vision of such inner strength & connection. Dadda - Softly softly you went; a support like no other and witnessing you both come together at this moment was magic

I love ‘love’ so much and I truly am going to cherish the time we spent together ~ such a pure and spectacular bond and I thank you for the belly laughs and trusting me to be part of one of the most special times in your lives.

What do I offer as a Postpartum Doula ~

I am often asked how I run my postpartum sessions and what they look like.

My first response is that each session looks different depending on what Mama needs that day but always encompass nurturing, nourishment, emotional & practical support and usually a big warm hug.
They are flexible and inclusive of birth debriefing, breastfeeding support, newborn care, sibling support, information that is up to date and evidence based, building boundaries and food. Always food !

The relationship with your doula is such a special one ~ being invited into your postpartum space and transition is an honour and one that I truly cherish.

My Mama’s are extremely important to me and I’m there to support you through all aspects of your postpartum journey.

My life journey has led me to this path ~ my background of Early Childhood, maternity Nurse ( UK), volunteering with Mama’s in Peru and becoming a Mother myself.
My deep understanding of pregnancy loss and trauma ~ how trauma informed care and compassion are so vitally important throughout postpartum support.

As your postpartum doula, you get me ❤️ A woman and mother who is passionate and driven to giving the best care and support to all Mama’s.

The internal and complex layers of my journey through motherhood seem to lead to magical moments of pure joy just at the right time.

A laugh that I hear above all other noise that elates my heart and sets everything right again.

The days that feel more like battles then harmonious, the nights that are spent overthinking and not sleeping, the tears we shed, the heavy outside noise we have to overcome … it all leads here.

And I will stand proud as a Mother that this is where we are. That I played a part in your happiness my dear girl.

And to you Mama, be proud of yourself wherever you are in your journey. Because wow, it can be damn hard. We walk through the motion, we run through the tides & the sun will set again.

And yes - we forgot to pack a towel, we forgot to take water play gear .. but she didn’t care and neither did we ❤️

My birth support this year is going to be quite minimal compared to last year as I’m taking some more time to focus on my little tribe, myself, study & extended time for postpartum support 💜

This powerful and focused Mama experienced her healing birth 💜Witnessing such a deep & soulful birth is quite indescribable.

Women fully empowered create a wondrous bubble around them and only the support of hands who are aligned in their vision make their way in. This is how birth should look- pure supportive intention- women deserve nothing but the best hands to hold them.

Such control and peace brought her beautiful baby girl earth side and it was so magical to watch . The insanely powerful love between Mama & Dadda was very apparent and you could feel the electricity in the air ❤️

Mama, you have the sweetest and most captivating aura and to witness your passion and determination will stay with me always.

Those moments of Bella entering the world were so precious and the love that filled that space was truly immense - thank you for trusting me lovely & Gui
