The Pilates Studio was established in 1994 and operates as a Training Center directly linked with Romana's Pilates based in the United States. Pilates protege and one of the closest direct link to his work. Having recently moved to a new location near Central Station we are just a stones throw from the heart of Sydney's CBD, here we have proudly established a center of excellence in the Pilates Method.

Tamika explains that Cynthia Lochard’s founded Pilates Method Studios based on the teachings of Romana Kryzanowska, one of Joseph Pilates’ protégés. Romana passed down the method alongside her family—her daughter Sari Grand- daughter Daria—sharing it with the world. At the studio, Tamika and her team remain deeply committed to preserving the integrity of Joseph Pilates’ original approach. Tamika emphasised the importance of beginning with a one-on-one Pilates lesson led by a qualified instructor. She explained that such personalised guidance allows the teacher to tailor the session to the individual's specific needs and the reasons they initially sought out Pilates.

She noted that a person’s occupation—whether it involves standing or sitting for extended periods—plays a significant role in shaping their Pilates practice. According to Tamika, Pilates helps build a strong foundation of inner core strength, which supports proper alignment and posture. This, in turn, reduces fatigue and enables the body to maintain better stance and structural integrity throughout the day.
