Ryan’s never done Pilates in his life.

He works hard—and rests hard too. There’s not much time left for anything else.

He thrives in environments where he can be creative. It gives him the chance to make cool stuff, which is what he loves.

As for the gym and trainers? Yeah… they tend to put you through a world of hurt. The last time he worked with a trainer, he probably didn’t go back. Staying fit is one thing, but improving mobility and flexibility? That’s a different goal.

Day to day, his job puts him under intense mental stress—and physical stress too. He’s often squeezing into tight locations, which comes with the territory.

Ryan works in metal fabrication.

Right now, he’s working on an exhibition by Mark Hugheston called *The Keys Under the Mat*—a massive art installation set to open at the Gallery of New South Wales in two months. It’s going to be something special.

Andy—sometimes Andrew, depending on who’s calling—responds to a few names.

For the past couple of years, he’s been doing a class on and off down in Melbourne at a place called Armature. It’s his way of keeping his body in decent enough shape to wrangle steel.

It’s not about fitness in the conventional sense. For Andy, it’s about guidance—working on range of movement and core strength—so he can lift well and maintain solid posture.

His work varies from day to day, but it often involves heavy lifting, repetitive movements, and long hours spent marching around on concrete.

Sometimes, he’s just standing at a station for hours on end.
