My interest in podiatry began at a young age when I was referred by my sports doctor to a podiatrist. I had developed my first running injury, a stress fracture in my foot and my podiatrist recommended custom foot orthotics to help prevent reoccurrence. This experience was positive and sparked my interest and now passion in sports medicine and podiatry in particular. I was eager to specialise in sports podiatry so began my tertiary studies with bachelor of sport and exercise science followed by a degree in podiatry. I have joined professional associations aligned with my areas of interest as well as postgraduate training that enables me a wider scope of assessment techniques and treatment options. As a competitive distance runner myself, I know all too well the frustration felt when you're not able to participate in the sport you love due to injury. Some of the running highlights for me so far include a 4th place at last years (2013) Sydney City to Surf and a 3rd placing at the 2014 Australian Road Running Championships (Sydney:10). I look forward to helping you reach your running goals, fitness aspirations and pain free participation in your chosen sport.
