CANDIDA OVERGROWTH AND GUT HEALING - GARDEN ANALOGY 🌱
I posted this on the stories the other day and it had a lot of responses asking if I could turn it into a post - so here you go!
I like to get people to imagine the gut as a garden - a symbiotic ecosystem of diverse plant life, quality soil, birds, bees and insects all working together in harmony.
See those crazy worm like 🪱 things coming out of peoples colons that circulate on social media? It’s likely not a worm but Candida albicans that has overgrown. Candida albicans is an opportunistic yeast that can grow out of control in our gut garden and works the same way as weeds.
Read on to see how we can heal the gut by weeding, seeding, feeding and therefore, re building our inner garden.
What I’d like to add to this post (but there wasn’t enough space) is that some gardens are lucky enough to be in perfect conditions just like humans! Some people have stronger gut constitutions, some people don’t have to try as hard as you, some people haven’t had as much trauma, some have less pre disposition to diseases and they’ve had better opportunities in life. Some gardens will always need constant work and maintenance, some don’t - such is life!
If you need guidance on how to rebuild your gut garden, book in! Your first colonic also doubles as a consult
